IN A COUNTRY WHERE THE LEADERS DO NOT SERVE, BUT EXPECT TO BE SERVED, IS IT WORTH WASTING YOUR TIME IN THAT HOPELESS COUNTRY?

IN A COUNTRY WHERE MEDICAL DOCTORS WORK WITHOUT DECENT SALARIES, DECENT CONDITIONS OF SERVICE AND AFFORDABLE LIVING CONDITIONS, IS IT WORTH WASTING YOUR PROFESSIONAL WORKING LIFE IN THAT COUNTRY?

NO WONDER MOST AMBIITIOUS AND SUCCESSFUL PROFESSIONALS, INCLUDING FOOTBALLERS, LIVE AND WORK ABROAD!!

I WAS IN GHANA A FEW YEARS BACK WHEN THERE WAS "DUMSOR". SUDDENLY THE LIGHTS CAME ON, AND I HEARD PEOPLE CLAPPING THEIR HANDS IN JUBILATION SIMPLY BECAUSE THE LIGHTS HAD BEEN TURNED ON.

I ASKED SOMEONE WHY THE JUBILATION, AND HE SAID THE LIGHTS WERE BACK ON.

AND THIS WAS ALL HAPPENING IN THIS 20TH CENTURY!! AMAZING!!!

MEANWHILE, PEOPLE WILL WORK HARD, THEN WHEN THE MONEY COMES IN, THE POLITICIANS LOOT IT IN A PLETHORA OF ALLOWANCES, FRAUDULENT JUDGMENT DEBTS PAYMENTS AND PAYMENTS TO ARTICLE NONSENSE OFFICE HOLDERS.

NKRUMAH WOULD BE WEEPING IN HIS GRAVE!!!

So it's creating a basis for another disruptive protest at the results, which will never suceed in court but will nonetheless to hold the economy in deep freeze for 8 or more months with crippling effect on the country

The holding of the 2016 election should be done based on the compilation of a new voter's register. The register is a pre-requisite to holding the 2016 national elections.
The existing register is not reliable and those arguing for the current register are doing so because of the advantage they hope to accrue from it. Foreigners especially from Togo and Burkina Faso have their names on the roll. Children under age also have their names on the roll. These children registered in the rural and villages where controls were very weak. Foreigners imported from Togo and Burkina Faso have their names on the roll. These people were given money to do the things they did which benefited the ruling party.
I wish to suggest the new registration should be done for only 2 days and Ghanaians should indicate on the registration form where ( district and region) they will like to vote. This is to ensure Ghanaians are not burdened to travel to go and register and also prevent the opportunity for politicians to recruit people to register with longer registration period.
Those 2 days should be made flexible for employers to allow their employees to register.
The 2016 election is very critical,it is a destiny election; to free Ghanaians from the current economic shacles or continue to be in the current pain. The IMF support is just a teoporal panacea to the challenge being faced. The government will try to manipulate the situation for the sake of elections but we shall go back into the pain after the elections.
It is long for Ghanaians to know the tricks of politicians and not allow themselves to be taken for granted anymore.

People should just be vigilant and report any such cases to their appropriate party HQs the police or media houses for a thorough investigation. It's criminal for the NDC or any party to do that.

The new EC boss should be up and doing; she should be bold and fearless to introduce a new voters registry which will help weed out all ghost names and aliens the right to vote. The NDC is finding it difficult to introduce ROPAL which would allow Ghanaians living in the diaspora to vote yet they'll employ such dubious tactics to steal the 2016 elections. It's not a surprise why Asiedu Nketia and Kofi Adams are fuming over calls for a new voters registry.
