The colonial Britain showed us how to lock up wrong doers but did not show us how to feed them when government had NO money to feed them, and we became lost?
Do we have brains at all?

We have men and women locked up in a space made for a tenth of their numbers and could not provide them with the basics of anything and nobody was able to come out with great ideas on how to kill the beast yet?

We have able body young men and women locked up, and we also have beautiful agriculture land and nobody was able to marry the two together yet?
Simply because the British did not show us how to?

In the US, all vehicle number plates - in the millions -made for the DMV is milled at the Prison Industrial Complex where inmates with good standing records go and make some money.
The money we paid for the registration plates takes care of these inmates and paid salaries of the department of correction in the US.
The Prison Industrial complex also make furniture for federal and state governments.

We can set up farms in far away places with dorms and protect them with the military cum warders. It will decongest the cells. We can also build courts close to the towns of these farms.
A little carpentry shop could be attached to make wooden crates for produce and a mechanic shop to repair the tractors. And these trades could be taught to these young inmates so by the time the got out they could be responsible members of society.

How could something like this be bad?
Unless we think we do not have the capacity to guard prisoners working in a farm, that by the time we realized, all will escape?
That is a very defeatist approach as there's a solution to every thing if only we're disciplined enough to carry them through, and if we make it clear that any man responsible for a prisoner will go jail for a year or two if a prisoner escaped under his watch and make sure that's not only some hot air.
We can run these farms to supply the needed food and funds for the department of prisons that we're not capable of handling as we speak.

Discipline is everything, so those who will divert the produce from the farms and miaapropriate funds should be jailed and make sure they are sent to the farms to work and pay for the loot.

In any civilized democratic country, the Minister of Interior and the Police Chief would have left office by now because they failed miserably in the discharge of their duties to mother Ghana. Immediately after the violence at Talansi, NDC officials started to propagate deceitfully that it was a mob fight between NDC and NPP supporters, and the Interior Minister shamefully joined in to say that "violence begets violence". Yet, the Minister forgot that it was his duty to investigate the matter thoroughly through the security forces and tell Ghanaians who do what exactly since arms and thumb-printed ballot papers were confiscated from some people at the crime scene.

These specific crimes or exhibits could have led us to the real criminals and masterminds behind the shootings and stuffing of ballot boxes. Instead, our unprofessional police preferred to toe the line of those in power today, claiming that they were going to prosecute ghosts rather than follow the available leads. In the recent suicide bombing that took place at a mosque in Kuwait, the security officers identified and arrested the owner of the car that took the suicide bomber to the mosque and also arrested the driver. From that point, the investigations led to the masterminds and accomplishes of the heinous crime.

The question is, why didn't our security forces investigate the leads or exhibits that could have lead us to the bigger picture, rather than gloss over them as they did asif they confiscated the AK-47s, cutlasses and thumb-printed ballot papers from the air? Our security forces, like the government including Mr. Woyongo, are trying to generalize the issue and incriminate others in order to bury the truth between Azorka boys and Bolga Bull Boys, blindfold Ghanaians and cover the government's own tracks. Ghanaians deserve better.

Brazil has the same climate and weather like Ghana. We cannot afford to build and operate our prisons like how they do it in USA, Canada or UK.

The whole of the South American States rely on Brazil for their supply of industrial to food items. They produce everything the country needs to survive, and the first country in the world to intruduce Bio Fuel (methanol) for machines, produced from SUGAR CANE. They produce everything from household to heavy industrial machines, including Commercial planes, Helicopters and nuclear gadgets. I was resident in Brazil for a while (10 months), and was really impressed. Sao Paolo population is around 30 million. Brazil has a toyal population between 180-200 million.Their prefabricated prison technology is installed in so many countries across the world, and is regarded as one of the safest technologies world wide. Just travel to Brazil, and you will be astonished with the general construction methods of the country, especially their roads. Do not condemm what you don't know, or better said, IGNORANT of.
