We are fed up with stupidity and foolishness , anytime a none Akan takes over the reign of govt the country visibly and factually goes backwards . Kotoka Rawlings , Mahama and Liman have been the cause of unbelievable hardship and stress to say the least. This pepeni/ayigbe track record of misery says it all, never again will we Akans show love and trust to those who in return pay us back with corruption , nepotism , tribalism , hegemony and gross incompetence fueled by selfishness and greed . Today these criminals are busy preparing illusions to rig or use the trickery of election engineering to remain in power as they have no shame and sense of whats right. Our economy was a 5 star , and entrusted to ndc its now moved from 4 to 3 to 2 to 1 and now rubbish yet they try and convince us that they have done well with 47% , what madness. They have not realized that to marginalize the Akans only leads to economic disaster as democracy is all about the participation of the majority . We expect political violence which will evolve into war , then we will see who truly has the majority , we shall see which Akans will shoot at their brothers because pepeni/ayigbe interests are challenged . We shall purge from our midst s all treacherous traitors of the Akan cause and kill their brothers and sisters and even the dogs and cats as we have no use for idiots in our new country. Nobody can hide the light and true destiny of the great nation of Akan. they use all kinds of schemes and tricks to undermine or deny a proper standard to us but we shall never surrender. we shall change and adapt as like the Israelis we are the chosen people of God and he in his great design has made us diverse but unified in spirit. the Ashantis like the tribe of Judah are and will remain an integral part of our being to to attack any one part we all end up feeling it sooner or later. they have succeed in turning some of our chiefs and kings against us and work for their evil ungodly agenda but we still see clearly . God has brought us into the 21st century and with that a new system of governance and state of mind based on democracy since it is HE alone who blesses the individuals with the gift of leadership wisdom and justice irrespective of status at birth. he has shown us the blue print of the way forward in the bible and other holy books and the time has come to free ourselves from this man made bondage called Ghana. just as in the Ukraine we must fight so the truth will come out , fear not the battle as they will crumble like the walls of Jericho . cast away our so called fake leaders and politicians who are nothing but cowards and like our enemies fear even their own shadows . yes God has put a million fears in their empty bodies as he who does not fear the Lord , the Lord will ensure all fears of the world will reside in him. They threaten us with superstition , juju and what have you and we say fuck you and go to hell as the divine power is with us . Yes all the tribes of Akan are fingers on the same hands and God has ordained we remain united so our strength and light will be visible throughout the whole world and universe , our time has come . everyday its becoming clearer and clearer to all children of Akan that we must prepare mentally for a battle of freedom . they come with tricks that say we must take a non Akan as our leader because its nice ? do they not think that out of 30 million Akans we can not find sensible down to earth leaders and warriors to lead our own people to our own destiny? a govt of the people and by the people is what the 21st century democracy is all about . let them continue to play with the consensus and other figures that justify their fantasy and enable them to marginalize the participation of the Akan majority in the Affairs of their own land , to marginalize us thus preventing us to afford a better standard for our people . The had of God has given them pestilence after pestilence but they refuse to let our people go , soon they will be swept away like chaff in the hurricane of fury . Long live the republic of Akan and don't you forget it as now the Fanti speakers, Twi speakers, Ashantis and other tribes of Akan are now one .

If you and Asiedu Nketia are intelligent and have superb brains, you should know that, Ghana's population cannot grow by 1.5 million in 2 years, else there would be population explosion in Ghana. Unless you are saying that we are giving births without recording deaths. Next time thing properly before commenting on issues. We can never add 1.5 million eligible voters on the voter population in 2 years because as some attain the voting age and add to the list, at the same time, due to deaths, some will be taken off.

No, rather that's your deduction. The increase in voter population was not attributed to new births or population growth, rather was due to an increase in the number of young people attaining voting age. Be informed that most developing countries tend to have a very young population as compared with the industrial nations, that are experiencing growth in an older population due to the diminishing number of births. Whereas the ideal household of an industrialised nation is on average 3.5 people, developing nations are still recording households of about double the number in developed economies, and the youth make up an over proportional number in the developing economies. NPP with their spins will not win any credible election.

I was not in Ghana during the population census in 2010 or whatever, but I have registered to vote since I came back in 2012. how would you account for me in your calculation? 0?. there are many legitimate scenarios to get there even though many dubious ways are also possible. but unless you have evidence to proof them you can not make a case like your folks are trying now. Listen, this is happening in all voter registers around the world, it only the minority of voters who think there is a plant to short change them in the registers.

Hi Alex, you sound very reasonable and your point about some people like you coming after the census makes real sense. However, note that we are talking about 1.5 million which your type of scenario can be a contributor to, but it is in the minority. The only way, and best approach to bring citizens' confidence in the register is to redo it for that doubt to be cleared. If no one has anything to hide, it is only simple logic for all to agree to have a new register. My only worry is that, it appears it is only people in the NDC who are talking against a new register which makes others feel they have something to hide in it. So my suggestion is for them to join the other groups and ask for a fresh register to prove everybody wrong. Personally I do not hold any party's ID. I only do not like the way thinks are going in Ghana now, so if you ask me who I will vote for, I will say with the present economic hardship and power situation, I will not vote for the NDC, but my perception will be different tomorrow if thinks turn around. Take me as a floating voter, which I sure am and would want to stay as such, because I know that wisdom does not lie in one person's head. Today it could be better with the PPP, tomorrow it could be PNC, NPP, NDC, CPP and what have you. I will always change my mind when the situation changes. I voted for President Rawlings, but today if elections are held, I will not vote for President Mahama!

It has to be tested in an elections and it cannot be tested on Presidential elections. That is what created the problem in the last elections and Ghana has to learn from history.

B'cos NDC are more understanding & more credible, they together with the other parties agreed to it. NPP now raised verification of which K4 added his voice, tht was also implemented. So if with all these they still lost in the election, u jst can't get up & blame NDC for creating any register. I don't know any other register tht can better than the bio-metric. Ghana cannot continue wasting money on voters register every 4 yrs.

Its simple why d NDC would not want a new voters register... The truth is dat during the 2012 registration, they were able to identify a flaw in the biometric system of registration at the various registration centers so they captalized on it to bloat the register to their benefits. The so called biometric registration was not actually biometric so to speak. There was no checking of duplications of multiple registrations at the registration centers. The EC had fooled every ghanaian including the npp to think dat the system will prevent multiple registrations so the npp and other parties could not engage in multiple registrations, but the ndc did to their advantage. The registration system at the various centers could only capture finger print scans but not checking if someone is enrolled already even at d same registration center... and since the system wasnt connected, it was difficult to prevent someone from moving from one registration center to another to do multiple registration. So the EC and NDC talk of a clean voters register is neither here nor there.. The pathetic issue is dat the NPP too doesnt even know how to outlay their argument for a possible change of the voters register. Its all bcos the systems that the EC adopted could not prevent multiple registrations due to wat i hv stated above. Wat even made the matters worse is d fact that on d election day, the EC made the whole data of voters in d constituency available at the various polling stations so people cld actually move from one polling station to another to cast multiple votings. This was also known to the NDC alone so they engaged in that to soar their votes to win one touch. The NPP people didnt know this fact too. Now with such a flaw in the so called biometric system, the NDC is not motivated to throw away the current register, bcos they hope to captalised on d flaws to win the 2016 elections again. That is d reasons why they are talking of 1million votes in Ashanti region and 50-50 in Eastern region. Now this is d technical reasons why d voters register is bloated. The NPP must use this argument to call for a new registration exercise or forget about the 2016 elections. Or they shd also engage in the same multiple registrations nd multiple votings on d election day. On d other hand, if the EC refuses to change d register, then they must call for a manual form of voting by throwing away d biometric verification as that system is seriously compromised by d EC and NDC. The truth is that, u dont let ur opponent implement a system for voting, they will use dat same system to steal u bcos they hv the best view of d system than u. I wonder wat kind of technical team which led the npp into reviewing the biometric system bf they agreed for its use. They actually did a shody job. U dont sit there and allow ur opponent to implement such a system without having a solid technical team to review all aspects of the system before implementation. No wonder u were cheated during d polls. And now asking for a new register. The key point is dat there was no biometric registration done, only peoples fingers were captured. No checking for duplications done. The EC register is NOT biometrically certified as being speculated by d kofi adams and d like.. that argument makes me wanna vomit...EC, please wake up...

If the voter registration is flawed or not flawed. Correct and incorrect. Why don't we simply get a new voter registration for 2016 general election for peace to prevail when certain political parties have some doubts or questions about the one used in 2012. It's just so simple for this talk to quite down and go away. Because of this new talk of new voter registration , if the old one is used; it will generate into a bigger and unknown issue. I say let get a new one for all the start all anew and move Ghana forward. Togo did it and why not Ghana.

And for what reason are Asiedu Nketia and NDC political machine vehemently opposing and attacking the NPP sensible call for the replacement of the current Voters Registrar with a new one?. Why that kind of attitude, IS IT BECAUSE NDC HAS SOMETHING TO HIDE FROM GHANAIANS? Every body wants transparency and only the truth when it comes to national elections. So, if NDC wants Ghanaians to give the party the benefit of the doubt and assume that it has nothing to hide, it is up to NDC to join NPP and not use discrediting ways to thwart their noble effort FOR TRANSPARENCY.
After all, if a new voters registrar is prepared and is accepted by all the contesting political parties as representing the true list of the eligible voters, future challenges of election results may be avoided and become a thing of the past, unless, there is a blatant electoral fraud or machination .
