What I know from experience is that, now eligible ones could be registered to vote, the register is purged of dead ones,and then upgraded. But here, they are looking for a whole new register, which is impossible. They can go to hell. When the Cedi depreciates, it is problem for the government, when it is now appreciating too, the very same people are complaining. They see Ghana as a hell to live in, and yet they have the mantra "We will make the country ungovernable". Go ahead and make it ungovernable, and then win the elections and come to govern. Desperate and destitute!

When the news broke about EC's stance on the need to open a new voters registry, the NDC through their general secretary vehemently opposed the idea saying it won't guarantee parties refraining from cheating the system. He was right! He knew what the NDC had been doing behind the scenes all these years as I'd always pointed out right here on Ghanaweb.

Little did he know that Dr. Bawumia and the NPP were too clever and also knew what they were doing to uncover their dubious electoral schemes. As soon as I heard him say that opening a new voters register won't guarantee against the registration of minors etc., I knew he was up to something mischievous. Crazy thief! He believes he and his NDC apparatchiks are clever than everyone in Ghana.

The call by opposition political parties for a new voters register is non-negotiable; it's a must! So Asiedu Ntatia and his gang of criminals better understand. Ghanaians are asking for a new registry which would ensure truly free and fair elections, ahead of 2016. There's no gimmicks about that!

Due to the proximity of the volta region to Togo, most people in both Togo and Ghana share half parentage in both countries. The people the NPP is talking about may be Ghanaians living in Togo. I have several direct cousins, brothers and sisters with half Togolees parentage. What i don't know is wheather they can register to vote in both countries but the fact remains that they are Ghanaians by birth.
Am more baffled when it was allerged that the the data was scanned from Togo's register and planted in that of Ghana's. But what i know is that political parties are represented at all registration centres and must have an idea of the number of people captured in each centre.
As for HE Nana addo's stament that what is good for Togo is good for Ghana, my take is that the folowing must be good for Ghana: in Togo, there is no presidential term limit. Secondly, in Togo, the chairman of the EC is the interior minister.

Castigating the people of the Volta Region and describing them as Togolese. Some NPP fanatics went to the extent that Volta Region must remain a Trans Volta forever. What a shame. One question comes to mind is why is Akuffo not talking about the over blotted Ashanti Voters Register where babies yet unborn were registered. Only time will tell. IT WILL HIGHLY IMPRUDENT TO COMPILE A NEW REGISTER JUST BY DISCOVERING SOME FOREIGNERS ON THE REGISTER.
THE NEXT QUESTION IS WHAT HAPPENS IF IN MONTHS THEREAFTER COMPILATION OF THE NEW REGISTER AND SOME PEOPLE OR ANOTHER POLITICAL PARTY IDENTIFY/DISCOVERED FOREIGNERS ON THE REGISTER. AND THEY ALSO INSIST ON COMPILATION OF A FRESH REGISTER. THIS CYCLE WILL KEEP ON GOING UNENDING.

THE SOLUTION IS TO PICK A CHALLENGE FORM AND EXPUNGE THE THE NAMES OF FOREIGNERS
