What that doctor said about the Nunoo Mensah's son which you also repeated here adding allegations to it is wrong,nobody is preventing that doctor from travelling outside the country to work and he is not in Ghana just because he loves Ghana and loves it more than anybody,he is in Ghana just because he didn't have the chance to travel outside and work there,hit is not just getting up and go there to practice,you have to qualify to practice there.

These doctors are making outrageous demands which is the facts but if you have employees of other quasi government institutions such as SIC,SSNIT,IRS,GNPC,TOR,COCOBOD
and others living extravagant lives though they have not had much training to warrant such benefits they enjoy that is what will happen,you will see other workers demanding more.
If SSNIT can have money in excess to build and equip police stations which is not their job,if GNPC can have money in excess to be sponsoring so called football fans to be travelling abroad to seek asylum if employees of TOR can be taking gallons of petrol home to sell to people or give to their girlfriends though they don't pee to refine petrol for Ghanaians,what do you expect other workers to do or to say?

It is only a matter of time, if the govt continue with this intimidation and harassment, slowly the doctors will leave. It did happen during the time Rawlings was harassing university lecturers. Many of them left. Most faculties were left with lower ranked and inexperienced teachers. It took years before they slowly returned. People who lack discerning minds are not capable of grasping the damage the govt is causing, because the impact is slow in coming.

Note that most of the doctors in USA, Canada etc., are Sole-proprietor businessmen/women. They have registered themselves as Companies and therefore are in contract with the Ministry of Health. They charge the Ministry for attending to and caring for clients. Government does not give them cars, houses, drivers, security men, gas allowance, research allowance, "girlfriend/boyfriend" allowance or any other "Nonsense allowances". At the end of the year, they file their Income taxes, present their expenses and Incomes and pay the appropriate taxes to the government on the difference (profit) if any... Please "stop comparing apples to oranges" as the saying goes ok..

Will the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Mahama Ayariga explain to Ghanaians why pensioners of the CSIR have not been paid their pensions for close to over 8 months and why he asked the Director-General of the CSIR, Dr. Agyeman and prevented him from paying part of their pensions which has been in arrears for over 8 months to pensioners of the CSIR?
Is that the position of the CSIR Council led by Mr. Incoom that pensioners of the CSIR should not be paid their pensions which has been in arrears for over 8 months and also that of Mahama Ayariga, the Minister of Science under whose ministry the CSIR is located?
Will the media fraternity, the TUC, the labour unions take this matter up and find out why, pensioners who have contributed their quota to Ghana's development, some for close to 4 decades, have not been paid their pensions for almost one year?
This is not how pensioners should be treated in this country. This is not how we should be treating the elderly in this country. It is a lie and untrue that Doctors save lives. Who saves lives? It is only the Almighty God, who created life that can save life, not dusts who will return to dust. Doctors treat patients and leave them, it is God who does the healing of every and all diseases and sicknesses. Humans- Doctors don't even know exactly what happens when foo is eaten through the mouth into the stomach. They should therefore keep their mouths shut and return to work or remain on the strike and lose their salaries and other allowances. Government must remain strong and resolute this time and not succumb to their atrocious demands.
