We believe that the elimination and systematic reduction of electoral thievery coordination blind spots will effectively save our country from potential threats that could destroy our peaceful democracy and steady development.

For, as tyrants go, what they fear the most is the TRUTH. And in Ghana's case the NDC's bogey man is the presumptive Vice President, Dr. Bawumia.
He is now the face of the opposition and the target of their ire. He is the one person who has to be eliminated, literally, for them to have a chance of getting re-elected .

There are criminal implications in NPP's latest revelations to Ghanaians and the rest of the world.
The whole world is curious as to why the NDC is vehemently opposing the idea of the opposition parties demanding the compilation of new voters register? Knowing very well that all their dubious electoral schemes have been uncovered, that's why the NDC is furiously fighting against a new and clean voters register.
The NDC have been in the news lately trying to impress Ghanaians with their party's biometric registeration exercise which has been dealt with a heavy blow because of NPP's latest findings. They were trying to consolidate their crime by including the IDs of already compiled Togolese nationals in their biometric project and that's why they're so confident and certain, bragging about victory in 2016 elections. But thanks God that NPP's intelligence and some of NDC's own apparatchiks who crossed carpet to NPP have helped expose them.
It is obvious that Koku Anyidoho is dazed; he's certainly in some kind of a wonderland, not privy to the situation around him; he can't bring himself to accept the fact that all of their dubious electoral schemes have been exposed! The whole exercise is not over yet. But instead of repenting and refraining from their crooked ways, Anyidoho would rather attempt to create funny notions about Dr. Bawumia.
The EC has lots of work to do to clear the dark cloud surrounding its image and also clean up the electoral mess created by the former administration, led by Afari-Gyan. Ghana can continue to enjoy the kind of peace we're all living in right now rather than pretend everything is okay! And it;'s about time people like Koku Anyidoho and his NDC gang sought to amend their evil ways.

3. If persuasion fails, force must be applied!

When a Deputy General Secretary of a ruling party decides to comment on such an important issue, one would expect him to present facts and figures to counter arguments that have been put forward (by NPP). Koku has rather embarrassed himself because he did not say anything convincingly 'sensible'. What does Koku mean by "...Dr. Bawumia does not understand the electoral system...?" Unfortunately, throughout his article/speech, Koku did not explain what the electoral system is, and how Dr. Bawumiah got it wrong. He could not counter the fact that same names and images have been detected both in Ghana's and Togo's register! His beef is why Nana Addo himself did not do the press conference. This is CRAP! Dr. Bawumiah is a high ranking member of NPP; he led the team to investigate the anomalies in the voters' register, so logically he must lead the presentation of the findings to the public. What is wrong with that?
Let's face it. Since this NPP findings about a 'bloated'Voters register hit the press, none of the personalities from NDC who have commented on the issue has said anything sensible or constructive!
Asiedu Nketiah attacked the personalities involved as " block-headed"; Dr. Twum Boafo made a very flimsy argument that even if juveniles were registered they have by now grown (and old enough to have their names kept in the register); and now Koku's not-so-helpful submission on the issue.
Somebody must tell NDC leaders that if they have nothing convincing to say about the issue, they should stop 'flatulating' in public! They are only releasing "bad air"; and they must stop! This is a SERIOUS NATIONAL ISSUE! If we have 76,000 and counting number of 'non-Ghanaians' voting in Ghana, then it is serious. We are talking about a whole'big village' of non-Ghanaians voting illegally! Throughout the press conference, NPP did not state that NDC benefited from this anomaly. They explained why they focused on the 'border regions' where the influx of non-Ghanaians is logically possible. The inclusion of Volta Region in NPP's investigations has simply 'moved the bowels of NDC' and they just can't stop 'shitting' and 'flatulating' all over! The fact however is, Volta is a 'border region' just as the Western Region!
Of course, registration of non-Ghanaians is not the only Factor contributing to a bloated voters register. There could be other factors that are internal (e.g. registration of juveniles and double registrations). NPP is at this stage only addressing one of the factors and the results are compelling enough to make any credible leader 'sit up to wear his/her thinking hat'. Unfortunately, in Ghana, we have leaders who love their parties more than the country. There are leaders who speak more from their 'stomachs'. I am appealing to NDC to stop throwing tantrums. They should join the crusade to weed out all 'unwanted materials' from the register; and to ensure, together with the other parties, that a system is put in place that will not only sanitize the register but also prevent any particular political party from benefiting.
One NDC leader who commented on the issue said a new register will be too expensive...and that there is no money! My response is this: operating a voters register perceived to be fraudulent and unrepresentative is potentially even more costly. If a voters register is considered to be 'un-trustworthy' voters dissatisfaction may be expressed in so many ways including post-election rowdiness and loss of lives. So let's put party colours aside and work toward setting 'a fool-proof' system that will deepen our democracy. The findings of NPP's investigations point to one thing: WE ARE CURRENTLY OPERATING A FLAWED SYSTEM. It is not about any political party. Let's all work together.
Let me end with this suggestion: If later investigations confirm the veracity of NPP claims, then to serve as a deterrent, the Ghana Government and its counterparts in the neighbouring countries must put in steps to bring those involved to book!
