CONFUSION IN NDC OVER VOTERS REGISTER: KWABENA ADJEI AND YAW GYAN ACCUSED OF LEAKING INFORMATION TO NPP.

There is currently uneasy calm at the headquarters of the NDC. Reports say, the party's big wigs are shocked over how the opposition NPP is clearly exposing one of their long held electoral strategies. It is believed the NPP could not have given the specifics they gave about foreigners on our voter register without insider information.

A deep throat source at the NDC's headquarters say the party's leadership are pointing accusing fingers at former Chairman, Dr. Kwabena Adjei and former organizer Yaw Boateng Gyan for the NPP's expose. According to the source, Dr. Kwabena Adjei who hails from Nkonya-Ntsumuru in the Volta region was the mastermind behind getting Togolese nationals into our electoral roll during his chairmanship era.

Yaw Boateng Gyan who comes from the Brong Ahafo region is said to have coordinated the influx of foreigners for registration in the Brong Ahafo region. The finger pointing is fueled by the fact that, Dr. Bawumia in his presentation on the register concentrated so much on the Volta and Brong Ahafo regions and was curious about the special NHIS registrations in the two regions.

The two former national executives are believed to be very peeved after they lost their national positions to people who were sponsored by President Mahama. Dr. Kwabena Adjei was recently in the news lamenting his neglect and and inability to pay his medical bills after he lost his Chairmanship position.

Yaw Boateng Gyan is on record to have publicly blamed former Chief of Staff and Mahama's right hand man, Prosper Bani for his defeat to Kofi Adams. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the NDC's general secretary has in the wake of Bawumiah's revelations mounted a spirited defense against the call for a new voter register. This has left many Ghanaians wondering why the NDC and Asiedu Nketia are so keen on resisting the compilation of a new voter roll by the EC.

The largest opposition party, NPP has been leading the cause for a new voters register for the 2016 election. The party took its call a step higher when it made startling revelations of thousands of foreigners on Ghana's voter register in a recent press briefing.

If the NDC party is not guilty as claimed, then it is in their utmost interest not to brush these allegations aside. As the elders say in Anlo, the liar's house is not burnt, it is carefully unraveled. But are the NDC leaders intelligent and wise enough to follow this adage?

As for the EC, its credibility has been impugned seriously. It must act to purge itself of this allegation.

Where do they get the motorbikes to give to the Togolose,is it not Togo rather most of them get the motorbikes which they are using in Ghana,Togo and Ghana which one has more and cheap motorbikes,even things like tricycle,generators and even tires is it not Togo that they go to get them?

I am intelligent to know that these people might be embellishing their story to gain something but you cannot deny the fact that Ndc has alwqays encouraged Togolese Ewes to vote in Ghana'a election.

I do believe most of these Togolese voters particulars were scanned into Ghana's voters roll more than people crossing the border to register or vote. There is definitely a voters fraud going on at Ghana Togo border.

You get this eerie feeling that the NDC fears a new voters register exercise will come with a new heightened sense of security and alertness around minor and alien registration, and that the flaws associated with the old register will become so abundantly clear that it will cast reflex doubt over the legitimacy of Mahama's government, as it would be shown that he won by fraudulent means. The NDC is just scared of what skeletons will come out of the cupboard.

Why will anyone walk into a newspaper office an confess a criminality, if they have not done anything? Whether it is true or not, this matter has the potential to cause disaffection, even real chaos in certain parts of Ghana. To think that some people are criminally influencing the outcome of national elections is a serious matter.

If President Mahama has nothing to hide, he should cause the arrest of these idiots, for thorough investigation. But then, even people who have run their cars into throngs are still taking refuge under the "Umbrella," what a failed state!

According to Dr Mahamoud Bawumia,the NPP running mate in 2016,most of his work was in and around Ketu South and base on my knowledge of the Region,Hohoe is not in the ketu south.Again,Bawumia stated in the infamous press conference that,the Pictures of Togolese nationals on Ghana´s voter Register were SCANNED meaning they were not present for live Pictures but Adjase is now saying that they(NDC defectors) were involve in bringing them(Togolese) over accross the border, a Statement that clearly contradict the Picture painted by Dr Bawumia.

My fellow NDC functionaries,NPP Goal is simple-to turn the heat on NDC.NPP had nearly two years of bad Publicity which nearly split the Party into two and he Dr Bawumia was the target of NPP civil war because Alan camp do not want him to become the leader of elephant Party after Nana Addo bow out from active politics so in an attempt to remain relevant in the ongoing civil war,he is coming out with fabricated stories.

At Dzodze, Penyie, Kpetoe, Aflao, Denu, and all the border towns in the VR, NDc Chairmen, SecretaMore deep throat sources can be enticed to come forwardries and other party executives regularly recruit Togolese with strings attached to come and vote in Ghana. There are hundreds of unapproved routes that the Togolese Gendamare man but take money to allow all sorts of people to cross over into Ghana. There is no doubt about that. Those familiar with Aflao and the Pillars that demarcate the boundary between the 2 countries should know this. All NDc Regional Executives are privy to this voter recruitment scam. We should not be surprised if the NDC are going all lengths to find money ready to entice these poor and hungry Togolese to come and vote in 2016. Solution? Anew Voters; Register! Period.

Is the Ndc government willing to investigate this allegation and get evidence to back these people up that shows the 2012 election was a sham decided by illegal voters who were able to vote because the same government was involved in this shameful enterprise?

Secondary, if the government really want to get to the bottom of this issue, it should rather grant these people immunity from prosecution so that they can provide the evidence the government needs to prosecute some people from its own Ndc ranks, is the government willing to do that?

Were we not in power when Elizabeth Ohene's brother, who is the head of one of the Medical departments at Korle-Bu and Npp Party observer was beaten and almost killed in Volta region just being an Npp official?

Ewes behave like the laws in Ghana does not apply to them. During elections, Ewes in Volta region use their majority to intimidate any other party observer and decide how the voting is going to go by stuffing ballot boxes with ndc votes.

Anyway, closing the border does not prevent other Togolese from entering Ghana through other routes numbering over hundred on Ghana Togo border alone.

Most of the votes were scanned in anyway and does not need the physical presence of these Togolese Ewes.

Ghanaians cannot just walk into Lome that borders Aflao to demand IDs to register them.

I personally have close family members living in Lome and few other places but are not registered voters in Ghana,they are hundred percent Ghanaians but not registered in Ghana.

If we are talking about violence during elections your party is worse,even in Accra some of your members attacked people suspected to be NDC sympathisers including running a car over people in East Legon right after the 2008 election which President Mills failed to prosecute.

If closing the border does not prevent Togolese from entering Ghana through other routes why you think if you open new voters register they will not enter to register again,how are you going to prevent that,didn't you guys brought people from other regions to the Volta region to be your election observers in the Volta region but still lost,if you don't trust even your own party members who know if you win is to their advantage how can you win election?

Let me tell you that NPP is fighting a losing battle attacking people living in the border areas,you cannot fight those people and win when it comes to these kind of things.

There are some border communities all over the country where the towns are deeply in Ghana but divided between Togo and Ghana,with no Togo police or Ghana police controlling each part separately,those communities if they don't tell you you will think they all belong to one side but not divided which you can find in other border towns throughout the country.

I totally disagree with you that these criminals should be given immunity from prosecution. The best for them should be plea bargaining so they get lesser sentences on their own confession in exchange for giving accurate and credible but not false details about their so-called Togolese registration. Immunity will be a reward for their criminal activities. I find that strange coming from you.

Daily Guide ought to have reported the matter to the police because it cannot protect criminals. In any democratic society, the media would have reported the crime to the police but it's up to the police to act. Daily Guide could report the crime without necessarily going public that they have reported the criminals to the police. It's the right thing to do and that would not damage their business, on the contrary it could enhance their business.

SARPONG, let me tell my person view on this matter. The Daily Guide is soo pro NPP that it often reports false defections from NDC to NPP as other pro NDC papers also do. Such media houses are not doing any good to the parties they support because they are creating false hope.

We need to be serious as a country. People just wake up and say whatever to please others even though it's a criminal act and go scott free with no further investigations. To me this is very serious case and it needs serious investigation and arrest to show people that you cannot say whatever just to please others or hurt others and get away with it. We have to be serious if we want our country to grow and do away with politics. Politicians are only using us to get what they want. How long NDC/NPP thingy has been going on and who are the beneficiaries? Isn't so called politicians and their families while ordinary Ghanaians are suffering. Almost everybody want to leave the country for greener pastures elsewhere but have we asked ourselves this question if those countries just dropped from the sky ? No. Some people toiled and sacrifice themselves to develop those countries to leave their names and maintained their legacy but in Ghana, all that these politicians want is money so they always find a way to use some of us to take us all for a ride. When are we going to desist from this NDC/NPP thing which is dividing us and subdue them to give us real indication of what they are going to do better than the other instead of this 'buga buga' politics. We have to understand that our actions and inaction will affect all of us and so we need to be vigilant and stop taking tokens to do their dirty works for them. Politics is about policies, whoever has a better policy should be giving the mandate to rule not who can win the blame game. Attack and counter attack will not take us anywhere but to remain the same or worse. Hmmmm..... God help us all....

When the late General Eyadema collaborated with elements of our Opposition to frustrate J. J. Rawlings, would you characterize that as being parasitic? How about the Ivory Coast that has benefitted the most from the Smuggling of our Cocoa and Timber and other vital State-Supplied items to Farmers like Spraying Machines and insecticides, for decades?

Smuggling across the boundaries are done more by our locals than the Citizens of the neighboring Countries. It is us who are to blame for any such lop-sided dependency between Togo (or, any of our neighboring Countries) and us. Our Textile Traders have long been bringing contraband Cloths from the Ivory Coast and Togo, under every single Administration we have ever had, since 1966.

We have our own Law Enforcement Agencies to blame. Not Togo.

Meanwhile, if these disgruntled folks are being truthful, they ought to submit themselves for prosecution, as they have confessed to have knowingly broken our Laws.

The Government must move swiftly to round them all up. That may well serve as deterrent to anyone out there that might want to repeat that offense for the NDC. If the NPP claims that it is the entity that exposed these folks, it must lead our Security Agencies to apprehend them for prosecution. NPP would be shooting itself in the foot if it fails to cooperate to bring those elements to book.

I have no doubt about the claim of these people and it has been something I have talked about in the past before the revelation by Dr Bawumia.
All the analysis I have so far listened to are flawed.I will come out with my analysed position based on something I learnt from a former Indian boss who have since left Ghana to his new posting in the far east.I have worked with 3 Indians at different times during my career recently. These people are hard working in the true sense of the world and I have enjoyed working with them.

The comment that "Unapproved routes" could make you laugh if you know what Border life is. I wish to re-emphasize that when you go to a very small town called WODOME in Agotime, only then you understand things better. The thin stretch of road from HO to AFLAO passes Wodome and to the right is TOGO and to the LEFT is Ghana.

It is a single community as far as I know.

The very reason why our grandparents lost the Plebiscite in MAY 1956 remains the fact that the same people in TRANS-VOLTA were/are the same people in GOLD COAST. Hence the translation of the YES to join GOLD COAST was because the people VOTED TO BE TOGETHER WITH THEIR CLANSFOLK ON THE GOLD COAST SIDE.

How then can it be said that this is what is done in VOLTA REGION? What about the NORTHERN REGION AND THE UPPER EAST?

I fully support the call for these guys, if they are real, to be brought to justice.

Bawumiahs Mumprusi land share border with Togo and their other kinsmen in Upper East share border with B.Faso. Fasso or Zamfara decide to come to Walewale for medical attention? The utter urgent need for a new, credible and uncompromised voters register has never been in doubt, and in the face of mounting and currently mountainous evidence and facts, it is incontrovertibly clear, most absolutely very critical that to ensure free, fair, credible and transparent elections in this country, the need for a new, credible voters register is an unblighted must.
Indeed, it is the number one factor to ensure free, fair, transparent elections in this country amongst a series of measures.
These are whistleblowers who need to be protected from the John Dramani Mahama NDC gov't before they are wiped off the surface of the earth, because there is a clear and present danger to these whistleblowers.
Ghanaians, the clergy, the peace council, the traditional authorities, civil society organizations, the labour unions, the business community, the international community and all interested parties who want to see free, fair and credible transparent elections in this country would want to ensure these whistleblowers would be protected from the covert and overt attempts that would be made on their lives, because of the exposure of the John Dramani Mahama NDC party and gov't electoral rigging machinery and policy of stealing elections.
The EC should as a matter of urgency take the needed and required steps to get Ghana the new, credible and uncompromised voters register to ensure credible, free, fair and transparent elections in this country in the interest of the peace and stability of the country.

I however agree that these men must be arrested immediately to find out the truth from them. If upon thorough investigations it turns out that they actually committed those heinous crimes, then they should be prosecuted.
