  GRA should start realizing that the revenue decline is primarily due to a contracting economy. If nobody makes money nobody ows taxes. It's actually that simple.

  GRA should start realizing that the revenue decline is primarily due to a contracting economy. If nobody makes money nobody ows taxes. It's actually that simple.
  
  Accusations of profit shifting require solid proof which is extremely time consuming and rarely successful as usually companies have better lawyers than governments.

  I think the GRA got it all wrong. I don't know what locus they have to close shops but it is clear from this court action that they perpetuated an illegality.

  Farmer, am sure GRA can also get competent private lawyers just like the private company. Remember the EC does not use govt lawyers but private ones.

  Moving revenue/profit out of the jurisdiction in which it was generated is tax avoidance/planning. Tax avoidance/planning is a legal practice. In any case, most of the tax planning/avoidance mechanisms reduce the tax exposure from say 25% to 8%. Perfectly legal!
