  That is Ghana that you have ignored to protect,you have officials all over the place but not even one single one has been able to detect this foolishness and stop it and you are now blaming the chiefs for what you are not able to control.
  Konongo is not a village or in remote area for anybody to say it is difficult to monitor what is going on there,it is a town on the Accra/ Kumasi Highway that people in authority should be able to monitor very well.

  Are there laws in Gh? Where are the institutions? who is responsible for the Indians (non-licence)buying gold in konongo/odumasi? who is responsible for the Chinese (non-licence) mining in konongo/odumasi? what do you expect if foreigners can operate illegally/ invade your town/ country,taking the local registered entrepreneurs/ artisans from business without any alternative solution. The land or houses offer the tool for the locals to bid for a better price when they face these foreigners. Send your people to konongo/odumasi for better understanding on the activities of these foreigners. Find alternative solutions for the locals before you can think of solving this menace

  How can this happen in the twin towns of such calibre with designation as a Municipal Council area? The leaders in the area, including the Chiefs, should all bow their heads in shame! THis can only be the result of the "STOMACH POLITICS" and getting rich at all costs no matter the obvious disasters waiting to occur, for sure as the night turns into day!! Please, action must be taken now!!!

They practice state sponsored galamsey in most forest reserves across the country and yet turn round to blame poor citizens. Hypocrite! There is heavy state sponsored galamsey going on in John Mahama's own Bole-Bamboi stretch backyard. Thiefs plundering our natural resources.
