At least, electoral reforms spending is worthwhile than "Nkomfem" looting spending. Do you know how much US Dollars Ghana lost to the NDC in the "Akonfem" fiasco? Please think for Ghana and the future.

ROPAA was passed in 2006. EC failed to implement it in 2008 & 2012 elections. So far, very few political parties have embraced it. Ghanaians resident abroad have been advised to travel to Ghana to register and go back to vote at their own expense. Elections are held in December when flights are very expensive. If they go on to second round, it becomes a nightmare for those traveling from the States and Europe to participate. Some have even lost their jobs.

Proxy votes have not been approved by certain polling stations. Unless the politicians rethink their stance on denying Ghanaian citizens resident abroad their right to vote, our elections will not be free and fair. If some are now saying it is okay for Ghanaians, dual citizens and aliens resident in West Africa to register in their numbers, then there is no justification and no excuse for those in the rest of the diaspora to be disenfranchised. The Govt. found the money to pay for their travel, boarding, lodging and other incentives such as free NHIS, cash and motor bikes. What residential addresses did they use for the registrations? This requires meticulous planning. Why did some use different names if they are genuine GH nationals and eligible to register? How many GH citizens resident in GH travel to their neighbouring countries to vote? It is time for a national ID system.
At a polling station in the Eastern Region, 600 Niger nationals attempted to vote. The foreigners are bused to all the regions, not just the border towns.

Whoever campaigns on anti foreigners rhetorics is seen to be an extreme right activist.After all,millions of Ghanaians don't have any credible national identification cards so how do you make the difference?Yes,NPP called for the Biometric Voting System but they were also the first to reject the official results declared by the EC in the Supreme Court.They demanded the court to overturn the results in favour of Nana Addo because some people voted without going through the Biometric Verification Test.The court must throw away all these votes.They defeated their own case when some of the Biometric Verification Machines were actually reported to be faulty,developed some technical faults and could not function properly.These faults obliged the EC to extend the voting period to the next day.Therefore,"no verification no vote" charge against the EC was dismissed.The court did not see anything wrong for the EC to allow eligible voters their rights by using manual verification method.That was the end of NPP's allegation of fraud against the EC and NDC.This very judgement defeated the NPP's point of view that the election was rigged and defied the credibility of the Biometric Verification Test.It went further to a point that the so called biometric verification machines could not even verify the finger prints of Ghanaian voters.Based on these nagetive reports and unnecessary tensions,the Supreme Court commended the EC to reform the "no verification no vote" clause in the constitution.As for this reform,NPP has been silent over it.NPP could not tell the Supreme Court that the Biometric Voters Register was bloated with foreigners because they knew they could not get credible evidence.They also believed it was a slap in the face that will defeat the credibilty of the Biometric Voters Register too.Today,NPP has found its voice,challenging the credibilty of the Biometric Voters Register out of court.They are saying that some ECOWAS nationals have been scanned into the register and so the register must be changed entirely.This allegation is yet to be confirmed and if it's true then it's another defeat on the credibility of the Biometric Voting System which the NPP advocated for.I think this is the reason why the EC wants credible evidence from NPP.Thank you.

Let's just ask why the NDC is so furious about the idea of having the EC do the right thing, by opening a new voters register. Only 10% facial biometric check done and already we saw 76,000 Togolese names and IDs imported into Ghana's electoral roll. Mama Mia!

Not long after Dr. Bawumia's clever presentation, the NDC led by thier criminals boss, Asiedu-Nketia held a press conference lambasting the astute statistician and economist that he's crazy, some said he's disgracing himself etc. But Lo! Five (5) of their staunch footsoldiers come out to confess their crime and to confirm what Bawumia already revealed. Since that bombshell that rocked the NDC's camp, they've recoiled into their shelves as snails only to try to think of another dirty plan to cause confusion and chaos. They are so afraid that when a new register is compiled all their dubious electoral schemes would be halted! They only wish Nana Akufo-Addo is out of the way or probably in exile or something of the sort. But God is alive; He will make the impossible possible! While people like me and other NPP stalwarts have been pointing out NDC's cheating and wicked tactics during elections, some Ghanaians didn't take us serious. Now the evidence is out! So one may ask: Why is the NDC so furious about opening a new voters register? You guess is as good as mine, as I just wonder?

NPP championed the introduction of the Biometric Voters Register and the Biometric Verification Machines.They have also succeeded in defeating the credibility of the Biometric Verification Machine by protesting the results of the 2012 general elections in the Supreme Court.We all saw that the verification machine is not always credible,it can break down at any time.That was why the judges dismissed NPP's charge of rigging because NPP could not prove that somebody deliberately destroyed the machines for some people to vote without going through it.The petitioners did not challenge the Biometric Voters Register because they could not prove that EC has bloated the register with foreigners.
Today,they are tellings us that the EC has bloated the register with 76000 Togolese and other Ecowas nationals.If what they are saying is true then it means that the Biometric Voters Register is also useless,it can't distinguish a Ghanaian from a foreigner,it can't also detect the difference of ages.If so,how credible is it?That means the new register will also not be credible if we go by NPP's logic.Thank you.
