One wonders if the Presidential Staffer or Press corps driver was driving at safe speed or not and if the road conditions were safe.
Driving in Ghana after many years in California offers many areas where one would think either Ghanaians do not have the right training in road design and construction or simply the President and his Ministers are careless and legally negligent in supervising the construction to acceptable standards in others parts of the world. The same applies to areas such as health care delivery.
Too many deaths have occurred due to this negligence in road safety and construction, hospital and health care neglect, and open sewage breeding mosquitoes that bite and cause malaria that kills hundreds of thousands per year!
Were Ghanaian lawyers courageous as found in the US, our government would be sued and liable for damages in the millions of dollars due to this negligence in duty.

This unfortunate death seems to have garnered much publicity because it comes from your Department.

However, if you were to be brave enough to get yourself surrounded by sound people with sound MINDS, whose ambitions would NOT corroborate with YOURS, by ensuring the due diligence is made to protect the ordinary GHANAIAN, that is where you would be taken seriously.

For this to eventuate, MAJORITY GHANAIANS DO SUPPORT THE CALL FOR A NEW VOTER REGISTER irrespective whether it did contribute directly to the accident or NOT.

This is because in Ghana today, Laws and Ordinances are always pushed to the back burner due to POLITICS.

You can easily have someone building a house right on the ROAD or on the FIRE BRIGADE HYDRANT/WATER.

However, would anyone care??? Absolutely NOT. Simply because orders have come from THE TOP OF THE COCAINDC GOVERNMENT.

Why one would follow the Mahama NDC gov't to his or her death in a moving coffin, whilst others drive in 4WD's for doing absolutely nothing on such frivolous trips is beyond me.
This death of such a budding young man with his whole life ahead of him, shows the callousness and total disregard for the welfare and safety of the citizenry with both the elderly and accomplished and the young and upcoming all suffering the carelessness of the actions of the Mahama NDC gov't.
The late Atta Mills was not spared and Samuel Nuamah has not been spared either.
Clearly, sentiments such as being expressed by John Mahama after the fact, does nothing for the child of Sam, does nothing for the wife of Sam, does nothing for the parents of Sam, does nothing for the family of Sam and it is about time the Mahama NDC took concrete steps to prevent such unnecessary deaths Because Ghanaian lives matter and enough is enough.

Most of our accidents are caused by tire underinflation. Air is what allows a tire to carry the weight of a vehicle and its passengers. Without proper inflation or air pressure, the internal components of the tire's fabric, steel, rubber, and composites—flex beyond their designed limits. MAHAMA must make sure there are regular safety inspections across the country. He MUST also be gutted by everyday deaths on our roads....

I believe the main cause of the accident can be attributed to the high level of indiscipline on Ghanaian roads. How many times have we not seen some idiots in government fuelled SUVs flashing their hazard lights through traffic and driving opposite oncoming flow and forcing oncoming traffic into the pavement.

I believe it is time that the highway and police authorities come out with an enforceable road code, that would make it illegal and punishable for any car to drive against oncoming flow. Exception can be made for the presidential convey and emergency vehicles only on call, as it's done in other civilised societies.

I am saddened that a young and hard working journalist has lost his life. I wish all those injured a complete recovery.
