They cannot interview people especially the ladies on TV. Am very ashamed. If you ask the Director Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces when he became a lieutenant, he will not remember. He was recently promoted to the rank of a full bred Colonel and these idiots are still referring to him as a lieutenant. Shame to our reporters who are always looking for soli and always fighting over food during the coverage of events.

As for the Ghana Army, I get peeved anytime when they try to assume to be what they are not.

I often see species of our greatest oppressors - those who enslaved us and colonized us for hundreds of years and who were in our recent history, behind army mutinies that toppled our legitimate govts, freely and arrogantly riding in and out of our army barracks and being briskly saluted by the guards as they enter or leave. However when true-blooded Ghanaians reach the sentry points, they are stopped and questioned in an unfriendly manner before being allowed to enter - or in some cases, refused entry altogether.

For Christs sake, our army even still celebrates annual events in which they were (mis)used as canon-fodder for colonial wars against other hapless people who were struggling under tyrannical colonial bondage. I mean what does one call such an army?

Only search at military installation and you are complaining? Go to Kenya and see, if even you are going to deposit your money at the bank, you will be searched.

I would like to applaud the GAF for the introduction of access control. Access control is a common security measure in the United States Army. It is not meant to frustrate civilians, but to deter any possible threat by militants, terrorists, robbers, spies, belligerents, etc.

In general practice, people who have no business should not be allowed entry into military installation or post. It is one of the most sensitive areas of the country. Allowing public access can easily compromise the security of the state. You actually do not want your enemies to know your military capability.

I humbly want to entreat fellow Ghanaians to accept the new order and live with it.

That's somehow useless. All the military barracks i know in Ghana have more than 10 entry and exit points so what will the main gate search do??
