Dusty, I don't get the fuss being made about Boateng. Why open the nominations for the presidency if you are going to descend on anyone who pick ups a form or shows interest contesting Mahama? We know Mahama is going to be retained as the flagbearer for the party but I think all should be giving a chance. After all we even added Akua Donkor to the national ballot so why not the next person. I guess this is why we need an independent body like Federal Election Commission(FEC) to register presidential candidates instead of parties. The way things are going down it does seem like NDC does not want anyone contesting Mahama even though I think this would have been a chance for the party to test out other candidates considering the chance was not giving to NDC candidates in 2012. Our country suffers if we don't field the right people -- I am sure there are guys/gals much better than Mahama in NDC but have all been silenced because of the fear of being castigated. In the end it should be about what is good for the country, right?

A Christian movie whose cast is made up of christian actors and actresses from various denominations like Assemblies of God Church, Praise Harvest Community Church (PHCC), The Church of Pentecost, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Roman Catholic Church, Lighthouse Chapel, ICGC, The Porters House, Action Chapel, Salem Christian Centre, Winners Chapel, Methodist Church, KICC, etc, is set to be released in UK, Ghana and other countries soon. The upcoming blockbuster movie was created by a UK-based Ghanaian by name Sammy Ankrah, one of the core leaders and a member of the Board of Trustees of Praise Harvest Community Church (PHCC) headed by Rev Moses Asare in the UK.

Speaking to Midlands News in the UK, Sammy Ankrah, who is a Geo-environmental Engineer and a Pollution Scientist by profession, said he got the vision for the film in October 2009 when he caught a revelation from a message delivered by Bishop Bernard Owusu Ansah (alias Bishop O A Bernard) of Praise Valley Temple, Holland, during the annual MOVE convention of PHCC in London. According to Sammy Ankrah, who is also a writer, Bishop O A Bernard’s message came as a catalyst to 'push forth' a concern he had been heavily burdened with over a period of time earlier. He said some of the issues he dealt with in the film are real life occurrences he had experienced personally, or had been experienced by other people which those people had made Sammy Ankrah aware of.

He bemoaned what he called “The Elitist Strategy”, which he explained to mean the development in the church where educated or relatively enlightened (per the context) preachers of the gospel cunningly use psychology in the name of God to “subdue the mental matrix” – the reasoning capabilities of vulnerable followers and potential converts to the faith. By so doing, according to Sammy Ankrah, they manage to put fear into their victims and use certain biblical truths to brainwash the victims to unsuspectingly buy into particular self-made doctrines. He said even so-called 'learned' people among the congregation sometimes readily fall victim to such 'schemes'.

The film maker explained that by this strategy, biblical truths are cunningly twisted by such charlatans for their selfish interest at the expense of the unsuspecting vulnerable. Sammy Ankrah stated that although he believed there are real ‘criminals’ who have mastered this craft of deception and invaded the church, the most worrying aspect are the genuine preachers of the gospel who have been influenced by the trend and have consequently resorted to fake strategies to achieve success in their ministries.

“I can emphatically tell you that a lot of people are going into ministry these days not because they have been truly called by God, but they see it as an easy route to achieve financial success, societal recognition, respect and fame. Even where people were genuinely called by God into ministry, some of them soon learn the 'charlatanistic tricks', especially when the going gets tough along the line, and so deviate from the ‘path of righteousness’ to join the bandwagon", he said. This development, according to Sammy Ankrah, is having a negative impact on the church and virtually overshadowing the good works of genuine preachers of the gospel who are doing everything possible to save lives from being lost.

According to Sammy Ankrah, the film was estimated to be completed and released at the end of the first quarter of 2011 but problems encountered during production resulted in a long unexpected delay. It is, however, scheduled to be released later in 2015. What therefore prevents George Boateng from contesting President John Dramani Mahama? It just doesn't make sense, why a few in the NDC party are against Geroge Boateng putting himself out there to contest President John Dramani Mahama for their NDC Presidential slot in their primaries in November.
Alban Bagbin's statement is quite misplaced and George Boateng should be allowed to contest President John Dramani Mahama, because at the end of the day, true representative democracy has it's strength in the voice and choice of the electorate. Anything short of that, is autocracy which is not supported by the pure tents of true representative democracy.
What does Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin mean by the statement, it is not anybody who can just get up and say he wants to become President? The question to Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin is, who determines that? Is it the electorate, the masses or as happened in the 2012 elections, it is some unseen body working in tandem with the EC, to choose the would-be President of this country?
Clearly from the utterances of Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin and the leading officials in their party, the NDC party believes in a form of democracy as to be described as autocratic imposition which is totally at variance with our constitutional democracy, which should never be entertained, should never be condoned, should never be accepted, should never be tolerated in any true representative democracy.
Unfortunately, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has tipped the scales of a joker with respect to George Boateng in the matter of the latter seeking to contest President John Dramani Mahama and it is most regrettable.

When you reduce national politics and governance to the levels of Akua Donkor, Fiifi Kwetey, Sam George, Stan Dogbe, Otukonor, Solomon Nkansah, Kobby Fiagbe Acheampong, Ofosu Kwakye and the like, what do you expect? The Bin Bags would only shout corruption and exclusion and turn around to defend Mahama when they are compensated with political gold mines in board membership and parliamentary leadership. Bagbin views Ghanaian public as plebeians easily seduced into believing his nonsensical point of view. With your reasoning faculty as thin as the homeopathic soup that was made by boiling the shallow of a guinea fowl that had been starved to death, how dare you speak down on Mr. Boateng? In what capacity is Goat Mahama's IQ over Mr. George Boateng? Was it not this fool of a leader who was in Gambia saying cellphones were the cause of Ghana's "Dumsor" nonsense? Again was it not this fool of a leader who airlifted over $4million Dollars to foreign land to pay its national team and you armpit-stink fool insulting Mr. Boateng's intelligence? Numerous gaffes and irresponsible decisions made by your goat idol can be cited but that is not the point now.

The fact is the entire Mahama's government are missing the integrity chip, but weaker minds in Ghanaian populace don't see it.

Every body can be great, because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace and a soul generated by love. Mr. Boateng is a qualified Ghanaian and can serve his country in any capacity if likes like yourself - Bagbin is in parliament and goat Mahama who could do nothing and was born with a silver foot in his mouth is serving as a president.

It is time the populace sit and think about the future of their sons, daughters and grandchildren than following blindly and making gangsters ruining the country. Any reasonable being should take a lesson from the actions of Chairman Rawlings who chose to educate his children at the expense of the tax payer in overseas and subjected the poor folks to educate their children in the rotten educational system.

Bagbin FreshAlban Bagbin, Majority Leader in Parliament

Minority leader Alban Bagbin has disclosed that President John Mahama invited and thanked him for openly criticizing him.

According to him, the president showed gratitude for his candidness and openness with the ills in his government.

The Nadowli-Kaleo MP came under fierce attack by members of the ruling NDC after he openly chastised the president for surrounding himself with friends and cronies instead of appointing efficient people to work in his administration.

He also rebuked the President for reneging on his campaign promises and reminded him of the danger in his actions for politicians from the northern part of the country.

Speaking to Accra-based Asempa FM, many months after the episode, the former Health Minister said Mr. Mahama showed leadership in the heat of the moment.

“He invited and thanked me for criticizing him. I know most of my own criticisms can be used against him in the 2016 elections but honestly, he has corrected most of the things I spoke about and I believe that he has done enough to merit a second term”.

However, Ekua Donkor is president Mahama's chief advisor on finance, agriculture, foreign affairs, and trade policy. This is what motivated George Boateng to challenge president Mahama. Some NDC members who know George Boateng very well believe that he has better ideas than John Mahama and Ekua Donkor combined.
