In short, i am suggesting that, not withstanding the expenses that would be undergone to create a new and credible voters list, it's worth spending to forestall any loss of life in future.
Money will outlive life so let's protect the latter.

In history, war is fought when a group of people feel that their concerns are being trampled on. That's why compromises are required in every society. Your party thinks this bloated register is needed for them to win power. Both you and I know that this voters register is totally unacceptable but your greed and hunger for power has clouded your jjudgement. Tell me what will happen if NPP loses the next elections using the current bloated register? Remember they have vowed never to go back to the supreme court with any electoral concerns. You think they will pat you on the shoulder and say good job, knowing they've been cheated using the current register? It doesn't take a genius to figure out the consequences. It's rather you, who needs to think.

What is the Peace Council going to meet the EC for? The EC has given political parties time to submit proposals for dealing with the issue. The EC is an independent entity and we should therefore allow it to receive those proposals, study them and call an IPAC meeting to announce its decision.

For now, people are only talking and no one is fighting so it's premature for the Peace Council to start interfering into the affairs of the EC now.

The very first thing the Peace Council chairman ought to have done, and I say this with All respect, was for him to either called or gone to The Flagbearer of NPP and asked him IF HE ALWAYS HAVE TO DISCARD HIS CAR each time it develops a fault which can easily be repaired by a mechanic?

If Nana knows the economic importance of MECHANICS and also know the importance of the ordinary WASHING MACHINE, then ought not make that FRIVOLOUS demand for acompletely NEW VOTERS' REGISTER before every General Election. Does he throw away his clothen each they become dirty? If not, why this TANTRUM?

The time has come for Nana to be told right in the face that he is now too old to be PAMPERED.

The EC should be left alone to exercise its independence and REMOVE any name that ought not to be on the REGISTER with the cooperation of the GENERAL PUBLIC when time is given for PUBLIC EXHIBITION. Enough of Nana and his INTIMIDATIONS. If you can't carry your load, you don't blame your head-pad!

As a matter of fact, if the NPP had not gone international with its concerns, this toothless organization, which doubles as an NDC appendage, would have kept mute over the whole issue. It is shameful. It is disgraceful. And yes, it is utterly useless.

The register is not credible, it is a discredited piece of electoral document that the NDC party and gov't acknowledges as well as the EC itself as an institution, and as to why we are discussing the merits and demerits of a new, credible, uncompromised, register as a necessary prerequisite for free, fair, credible and transparent elections in this country, going into 2016 and beyond, to all intents and purposes, is a very serious non-starter.
That is time Ghana could save by getting the processes going, so should there be any challenges, there would be enough ample time to address them satisfactorily before the crucial elections of 2016.
The need for that new register has never been in doubt, so it would serve our democracy and our electoral procedures and processes well, getting on with this very important task of changing that register instead of the inertia couched in needless and unnecessary talk, so Ghana gets that new, credible, uncompromised voter roll for our elections in this country. There is no other option and it needs to be done now. There is no time to waste on this matter. Ghanaians demand that new, credible, uncompromised voters register.
