The World Bank Country Director is absolutely right that Ghana and Ghanaians should never be poor. Unfortunately, due to poor leadership, bad governance, indiscipline and near lawlessness, Ghana and Ghanaians are poor.
The World Bank and IMF are also partly to blame for the poverty of Ghana and Ghanaiains because they prescribed bad policies for the country that did not benefit Ghana and Ghanaians.
Ghanaian leaders lack foresight, forward planning and think about today. They think about themselves, family and friends and that is what they go into public service for but not serve.
The people are also part of the problem for not holding their leaders accountable as well as not obeying the laws, rules and regulations because those in authorities do not enforce them. In the midst of such indiscipline and near lawlessness, both the leaders and the people survive through corrupt practices.

SADA as we know it, instead of addressing some of the identified challenges in the Savanna belt, became an officially sanctioned Mahama NDC gov't vehicle for dangerous and unprecedented gargantuan thievery ever to be witnessed in this country. Not only was millions of dollars lost in this thievery expedition, but there is nothing to show for that huge amount of investment. The sad aspect of this debacle is as of today, not only has nobody been held accountable for the gov't policy of unimaginable thievery, the funds sunk into that looting project is nowhere to be found to be refunded back to the State.
The sad SADA saga is just but one of the numerous thievery expeditions wrecked on this country by the John Dramani Mahama NDC gov't.
And Ghanaians are saying, no more, enough is enough. There is no reason whatsoever for Ghana to be poor and the failed leadership and failed governance of the John Dramani Mahama NDC gov't must go. Enough is enough.

He never tackled swerage issues and solar power plus improved education for all thus ensuirng that even all the unedcuated gets some form of evening classes at all local level using primary school for thsi exercise. Kuffour on the other hand was rather interrested in pleasing the world by pretending Ghana was a wealthy country with no poor people to take startegic care of. he went about spending money on Ghana @ 50, Jubliee house and many more. He did well in some areas but he pocketed most of our resources for his own benefit. The smart thing to do in life is to ensure everyone have the basic anemities in life as a ruling Government and then you will never fall short. It is the people who would award gold medals to a President . Kuffour awarded himself a gold medal for a great job done whilst in office and he did this as a sitting President. Thank you so much for shaming our previous and current President who think by borrowing loand and aids would solve Ghana or Africa's problem. Look at the China who our government went to to buy furinture of our parliament. They are now going down hill. The wrong people are voted in to rule the country. Most do not have a penny to start with so use their position of power and influence to dupe the nation and rub the resources of that nation by claiming to the world that that country is poor. In thsi stone age there are no sewreage system in Ghana, public toilets outside Malls is not something I would recommend to any one. Shame shame shame to thsoe who have called themselves leaders of Ghana and many African states. Being a President is not about just looking after your immediate family and friends and the ordinary people on the strrets. How come Ghana has so many street hawkers with no vocation? Yet Presidents and MP's pass these people by each day on their way to work. None of them have sat down to make it a concern to eradicate such people on our street and offer an alternate ovcation or apprenticeship training of each of them. We seem to be too selfish in our own liitle world. Disgraceful Mr President and ptrevious {Presidents of Ghana. Resources are just minerals, trees, fish and the like, and they are valueless until governments manage the country's finances well, combining the human resource with these raw materials well in order to better the lot of the people.

The IMF country director has just confirmed Nana's stance for Ghana's march forward toward progress and prosperity for all. Yet the NDC gov't led by clueless and incompetent John "Odwan-funu" Mahama won't allow him to come near the throne to save Ghana.
