The same happened at the time of Prof. Atta Mills when some kind of newspaper house in Accra published an article that Prof. Mills should make Mr. Alfred Vanderpuije his running mate. The paper published his credentials on the good work Mr. Vanderpuije was doing in the USA and in the opinion of the paper, he would be a good running mate to the Professor. Surprisingly, the publication contained information that would have come from Mr. Vanderpuije himself. It also came out soon after Mr. Vanderpuije returned to the USA after a short visit to Ghana.

However, as usual, Mr. Vanderpuije denied his involvement in the said publication just like what he is doing now.

We will not accept any register than only a register for true and authentic Ghanaians and we see who this country belongs. Our country doesn't belong to Togolese for them to choose a president for us, this will never happen in any African country.Akans are the majority and we decide who should govern our country but not outsiders. You must be ashamed of yourself for saying that , none of the akan regions have seen development under ndc even though all the resources come from there and you think we are fools ? Togolese and Burkinabes can never again help ndc to decide anybody anyhow for Ghana and this is the last chance of ndc never , ever again @ ATUGUBA

About Atta Mills, I know your lack of information and low mentality in the areas of tribal matters may cause you to express doubts as that was never mentioned in the political life of Atta Mills as a Ga man.

Maybe if you are really interested in matters of this nature then you can intelligently find out from Ghana achives. The father's name is CHARLES ODARTEY MILLS while his mother, a Fante hailed from Central Region.

By nature Atta Mills was a man who loved to keep low profile over issues hence that tribe issue was not a big deal for him. It is because the issue of tribe never bothered him to the point that that could become an issue of national discussion through which you and others might have known long ago so that there would be no need of this information today. It is 100 percent clear that ATTA MILLS was a Ga.

Therefore in conclusion it is only through lack of classical information of this nature that a person of low mentality and village oriented mind may foolishly conceived in his mind and say Vanderpuiye would be the FIRST Ga president in 2020.

With his intelligence there would be no surprise if in 2020 he really becomes the third Ga head of state of Ghana.
