Why is Kennedy Agyapong not impeached or suspended for the many breaches of party rules? I hope you'll not be so stupid to tell me he's not an executive member. He was on national TV insulting all NPP members including the flag bearer. What is Afoko's crime? I know of floating voters who didn't vote NPP because of Nana's "all die be die" comment. Should we hold that against him even after he has apologize? I hope they take your advice and act accordingly.

Is it morally right for a chairman of a political party to still remain in office, when his brother has been accused of conspiracy in a politically motivated murder? If the political scientist has soon forgotten Paul Afoko's junior brother, Gregory Afoko, he was in collusion with two others, ( one has taken flight, apparently running away from the law, ) was accused of having poured acid on a Regional Chairman of the party which Paul Afoko unashamedly, claim to preside over as the chairman. It would be recalled, Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong, his sidekick, acting in their roles of the party, went over to address a regional meeting of the party. This arrangement is very strange and perhaps, the only such meeting in the party's history. That the party's chairman and general secretary would both trek outside the National Headquarters, to address a meeting without prior knowledge of the Regional chairman. There was a fracas during the said meeting, the chairman and general secretary were heckled. The late Regional chairman came out later to apologize to the two gentlemen. A group later emerged which purported to fight and protect the interests of Paul Afoko in the Upper West region. Gregory Afoko, Paul Afoko's junior brother is a key member of this group. This group cannot be said to be a clandestine entity, it was prominently given coverage by the national newspapers. A couple of weeks later, the acid pouring which resulted in the death of the Upper East Regional chairman of the NPP occurred. It would be recalled, Paul Afoko told a blatant lie, that his brother Gregory, could not be implicated in the murder since he was asleep at the time of the incident. Later events however, have proved that Paul told the lie to protect his brother. Did Paul have fore knowledge of the plan to murder his Regional Chairman? Does he have any conscience to still continue to hold himself as the National Chairman of the NPP? Paul Afoko's suspension has come too late perhaps, the Elders of the NPP had assumed rather sadly, the National Chairman would have been so seared by his own conscience to do the most appropriate thing by resigning his position. Apparently, Paul has no shame, so he is fighting suspension, a lesser thing to have been done by the elders of the party. Muddy waters is a lot better and safer than a quicksand.
