I inherited all their ill gotten wealth and want to fulfil the dream my father had about me when he was in prison that I will one day become the head of state to release him from prison.

The only proper leadership Gh has had in its history was under Nkrumah & it says a lot about the man that after having ruled Gh for years, he didn't even own a house. He put his personal interest second to the national interests. This couldn't be said of politicians today, even MPs, DDCE, MMCEs, civil servants etc, not just in Ghana, but, throughout Africa. Ghanaians really need, at the very least, to use Nkrumah as a measure in forming judgements about our leaders/politicians.

The affair was so disgraceful for the new independent Ghana that Nkrumah himself prevented the GOLD bed from being shipped to Ghana. Ask yourself. Where did Krobo Edusei get the money to buy the gold bed. That was just seven years after independence. I was a 10 year old boy by then and my father was a staunch member of the CPP in Kumasi. I saw the picture of the bed on the front page of the Daily Graphic. It is not an NDC, NPP, CPP matter
It is the nature of Ghanaians and Africans. Even officials of the Colonial administration who we claim had oppressed us could not do such a thing in an emerging newly independent potentially rich country. It is that get rich quick attitude that has brought us to where we are now. Don't blame NDC, NPP.

Kwame Nkrumah should have made an example of Krobo Edusei in such a way that from the beginning Ghanaian politicians would have found it unattractive to be corrupt. Rather Krobo Edusei moved on to hold several other sensitive ministerial portfolios, kept insulting the minorities continued to make more illegitimate money, singing praises to Nkrumah whilst Nkrumah kept clapping for him. Nkrumah did NOT need to build a house for himself. CPP was Nkrumah and Nkrumah was CPP. He was a life President of Ghana. He was a Messiah. Ghana was him and he was Ghana. Peduase Lodge was for him, Flagstaff house was for him, the hill top residence over the Akosombo Dam was for him. In his Wills the CPP was to look after his wife and children. NADECO was for CPP and CPP was for NADECO and that was how Nkrumah clandestinely appropriated State resources. He was to be inherited not by any any CPP official. Rather he was preparing the grounds for Gokah, Samia and Sekou. I am saying my father was a staunch member of the CPP. I still am in possession of his 1949 CPP membership card and I grew up to realize that Nkrumah's politics in Ghana WAS nothing good to "WRITE HOME ABOUT". I haven't said he did not do anything!

My monthly pay cant take me far, but my minister of finance continues to insist we are middle income,and even though I don't expect every citizen to become "middle income" overnight, I figure my life circumstances ought to improve not deteriorate,no? If we are middle income country, how come we are borrowing IMF loans meant for low income developing countries.

Kpordzih behaves like a cluster bomb destroying everything handed to him. This was a man who was dismissed from Stanbic Bank for granting a bad loan to Ibrahim Mahama.

His performance so far at ADB shows that nobody should have allowed him anywhere near ADB in the first place.

He manages ADB like his private backyard farm.

Only gossips and bed mates are rewarded and given positions of influence in the bank.

Every smart honest person is a threat to his destructive rule.

However, both government and the NPP opposition have decided that they would rather scramble over the crumbs thrown at them by Kpordzih and his friends.

A friend just told me this ADB deal is going to be the precursor to the much called for revolution in Ghana.

Ghana has been thrown to the dogs. Pure and straightforward.

I suspect that the foreign entity to which a pre-IPO sale was offered is only a front for some local dubious few to cheaply own a quarter of all the shares of the Bank.

I would entreat the Chief Justice to set up an inquiry into this practice to flush out these sophisticated predatory thieves who have for long preyed upon our Government Assets.

That is what we get for not ensuring we have strong Institutions to guide our Capitalist System. All we are witnessing is a continuum of the spate of frantic grab of our State Assets under the guise of divestiture, privatization and deepening Capitalism. This is what Kufuor's unnecessary emphasis on "Property Owning" unleashed to our fledgling Capitalist Democracy.

Like I have said elsewhere prior, Ghana never relinquished the right of individuals to own property or amass wealth under any previous Administration. Not even Nkrumah's conspicuous lean to Socialism ever deprived us of our inalienable right to own property and wealth. The closest he came to restricting wealth-building was his 'One man, one car' policy. But even that was specifically established and targeted to curb corruption among his Officials who had just begun to acquire wealth illicitly. That Policy was not intended for the general Public, many of whom continued to grow their ownership of vehicles and other properties with the dint of hard work, both for business and private enjoyment.

So, when Kufuor specially emphasized that his Administration was all about "Property Owning" Democracy, it was seen as a coded urge to condone wealth accumulation at all cost, beyond even laissez-faire Capitalism, where little to no rules applied to how people achieved their wealth.

Our criminal-minded Elites and Officials then resorted to many cunning devises to milk us and suck the blood out of our Economic System to their exclusive benefit.

The NDC then came along at the tail of that era, and also took a cue from it and continued the same trend. So, it appears now that while the Politicians were cutting corners and shelving the Laws to amass humongous wealth, our Judiciary then also took notice, and some decided to join the scramble for illicit wealth. It is only sad that these Judges extended their leachy tentacles directly to the poor ordinary folks as well, a last straw that cost their exposure through Anas.

But we must concede that if Corruption has eaten that far into our Social fabric as to corrode even the last bastion of our sense of integrity and moral structure, the Justice System, then it has dangerously touched the very foundation of our Nationhood, and the few remnants of upright Citizens ought to rise up to repel the rot.
