Ghana is going to stay on this chaotic path until security agencies of the nation stop being loyal to tribes and political parties. While the NDC government may be described as ineffective, disorganized and at worst incompetent at handling the nation’s economy the NPP is, has been and will always be a party that is no better than saboteurs.

These are the facts on this brouhaha folks. The NPP sought and obtained a permit to demonstrate on their bread and butter issues but the permit was granted on the simple premise of strict adherence to routes and behavior. What are the security agencies to do when people break the law and are hell bent of resisting verbal and unambiguous instruction to disperse or conform to rules?

The problem as I see it is that NPP’s abrasive, arrogant and disrespect for people other than their kind have rubbed off on a whole host of people who are led around like circus elephants. What the police and the courts need to do if they have backbone is to charge and prosecute organizers and anyone that can be identified by witnesses at part of the rowdy bunch and to serve prison time if convicted. A country of laws must expect its citizens to obey the laws; free reign by others who act above the law and fail to conform to human decency will lead to contempt of the laws of the land and the NPP keep showing the rest of Ghana they could give a rat’s ass about our laws unless they are the enforcers.
