Do your research and you will find out that, women are more involved in much more shady deals than their male counterparts. Lest I forget, it is also difficult to unearth shady deals made by women than men. It is almost impossible to catch a corruptible female than their male counterparts.

In a nutshell, power entrusted in the hands of a black woman is very dangerous preposition to acknowledge.

Even you Nana Oye Lithur you have huge credibility issues hanging around you. So how can appointing women reduce corruption? Corruption is caused by several factors including greed, appointing party favourites instead of qualified experts, lack of institutional capacity in Ghana and inadequate monitoring and internal as well as external oversight mechanisms among many others. So do not just simplify it to appointing women as if women are angels. You are a Minister so speak like one and a trained Lawyer, not like a primary one pupil now learning to speak.

There is no evidence to support the position that corruption will reduce with the appointment of more women because women are equally as guilty as men to be corrupt if not more corrupt than men.
The only antidote to corruption is the application of the numerous laws on our books, the review of the laws when they become obsolete and an effective deterrent enough to always stay ahead of corruption and not the appointment of any man or woman.
Even in the church where morality is taught, there is corruption so where from this baseless comment?
Enforce the laws against corruption, strengthen the institutions tasked with dealing with corruption, sentence the corrupt to death like it prevails in China and let's keep it moving.

Opinion leaders would talk public like this based upon facts. Where are her facts. Male presidents in Cote D'ivore, Ethiopia etc are managing the resources of their countries very well & those countries even have lesser resources than Ghana. The problem is that the NDC government is very, very corrupt. The NDC party was formed through J J Rawlings stealing power from Dr Hilla Limman. That spirit of stealing is very strong in the NDC. Victor Selormey, Tsatsu Tsikata, Dan Agbodakpi, Dr Sipa Yankey etc were jailed for financial misappropriation. Even JJ Rawlings sold Nsawam cannery to Mrs Rawlings. When members of NDC stop stealing, Ghana will be fine. NDC even stole the 2012 elections!
