Before Kufuor's regime, even though we suspected there was corruption, it must have been practiced by a few crooked ones. But sadly for society Kufuor got onto to the seat and made it into a widespread phenomenon. He finally baptised it by declaring to ghanaians that corruption has been with us since Adam. Thus people no longer see corruption as a sin. In fact seeing how terribly corrupt Kufuor was and yet is so respected, why won't people practice it?

Simply put, there was no revolution in Ghana under JJ! It was a reactionary junta that operated under the dillusion of staging a "moral revolution", as if morals are the primary shapers of societal actions, instead of the material conditions in which people find themselves.

All judges found to have indulged in corruption must face the harshest penalty of the land. That is the death penalty. Otherwise how do you build a nation with corrupt judges? It won't work.

How are the mighty fallen. It is indeed sad how the moral fibre and standards of Ghana have sank to such a low level. The bright star of Africa has indeed dimmed with a nation full of corrupt govt. Officials, kpa kpa kpa and incompetent and selfish workers not the least bit interested in serving their country with dignity but rather to create, share, loot with impunity. We are all part of this canker system. As we watch the judges and point fingers, we must remember that four other fingers are pointing at us. Yes the judges, must be punished. As we hungrily clamour to watch Anas video and sneer, we have to also closely look at ourselves as a people. We have lost our values as Ghanaians. We are also to blame. Collectively are we not all doing the same thing in varying degrees???? As MJackson sang let's start with the man in the mirror.

Congo-Brazzaville's leader has said he will hold a referendum on whether to change the constitution to allow him to stand for a controversial third term.
"I decided to give the people a direct voice," said President Denis Sassou Nguesso, 72, who has ruled for more than 30 of the past 35 years.
The proposals would allow candidates aged over 70 to run for office and scrap the two-term limit.
No date was given for the referendum, but elections are due next year.
Africa Live: BBC News updates
BBC Africa's Mamadou Moussa Ba says the main opposition coalition is against the move, saying it could destabilise the country. It also complains that it will not have the same access to the media to voice concerns.
It boycotted what President Sassou Nguesso called a "national dialogue" in July, when about 400 representatives of political groups, trade unions, war veterans as well as traditional and religious leaders were invited to discuss the constitutional amendments.
The forum was described as a "constitutional coup" by the president's critics.
