  My brother, GDP growth could mean that economy is expanding, meaning more companies could be hiring, thus creating more jobs. But if jobs don't pay well poverty will persist. GDP could still be growing and yet job levels may ...

  My brother, GDP growth could mean that economy is expanding, meaning more companies could be hiring, thus creating more jobs. But if jobs don't pay well poverty will persist. GDP could still be growing and yet job levels may be unchanged. Meaning, the existing labour force could be more productive and the technology may be driving the growth which requires less human for achieving that growth
