The giraffe looks at him, looks at the joint, tosses it and goes off running with the rabbit.

Then they come across an elephant doing coke. So the rabbit again says, "Elephant my friend, why do you do this? Think about what you're doing to yourself! Come running with us through the pretty forest, you'll see, you'll feel so good!"

The elephant looks at them, looks at his razor, mirror and all, then tosses them and starts running with the rabbit and giraffe.

The lion looks at him, puts down his needle, and starts to beat the shit out of the little rabbit. The giraffe and elephant watch in horror, then finally obtain the presence of mind to pull the lion off the rabbit.

Really. Unfortunately, people in Ghana accepted this kinds of stuff. Of course, nobody was in the position to ask him or to challenge him to produce those friends or just the names of the so called friends. Obviously, those Ghanaians and other people who had been outside the country(Ghana) knew he (JJ) was not telling the truth. NACOB can always get away from murder in Ghana. Knowledge is indeed the best power.

1.when a contraband is confiscated which part of it exactly kept as exhibit? The contraband itslf or the place or space in which it was found. For eg. if I carried drugs and got arrested does the state keep my luggage with all clothes and the drugs till the case is tried and I am either convicted or discharged or my personal effects are handed over to my family or trustee and the contraband I was carrying kept as exhibit? Could this be why drugs are untraceable?

2.In any case if they traced at all are the drugs going to be handed over to the people they were seized from? This questions begs the statement...Why that headline GhanaWeb? Is promoting negativity your main criteria?

3.Perhaps Nacob as an organization lacks proper record keeping systems. Is the government therefore willing and able to invest in this? Because it is indeed important to know the drugs to be destroyed and its respective case. We are all fighting for transparency aren't we?

For those who are ready to learn n be informed hope u find this peace useful. From my checks, the Narcotics Control Board, Ghana(NACOB) as an agency hold the illicit drugs the seize in trust for the government n people of Ghana, so Nacob have no authority in deciding what they do with the drugs they seize it's only by a court of competent jurisprudence that can decide what happens to the drugs seized. When Nacob seize any narcotics it's sealed sent to Ghana Standard Authority to ascertain the type of drug, quantity and purity. Absolute authority over the destruction of these aforementioned substance is vested in the courts who decides it's destruction after conviction and sometimes before conviction when all investigations completed. Nacob could only propose and request to the courts for samples of the drugs they seize for training purposes. It's at the discretion of the court to give or not. Destruction of these drugs is a public event supervised by security operatives and court officials.

Drug dealing is a sophisticated activity and countries with supposed advanced security all are battling with combat.
Criminal networks have diverse means of trafficking drugs. Drugs may be transported by individuals and sometimes unaccompanied. So for eg. a cartel in Mexico could ship drugs to our ports with a wrong consignee but upon arrival goods are cleared by unscrupulous individuals when such cargoes are intercepted by the Board based on intelligence, tracking the destination of said cargo becomes difficult or sometimes impossible which is due to "country factors" like bad addressing system, lack of a national data etc etc.
Also, a luggage could arrive on a flight without any Passenger(uncompanied luggage) when such happens again because of these "country factors" tracking and arresting criminals becomes a problem. Just to mention a few instances where owners or suspects of drug consignment are not traced.
However I must say that even countries with advanced security has issues tracing suspect of drugs especially with postal.
To end I must emphasize that my checks at the board n data available shows that Nacob arrest more of the suspects that drugs are mearnt for and are making great strives.

This prohibited substance must be destroyed period. If Nacob want some for training purpose they should purchase it from the right sources and not what has been confiscated. This is a bad precedent.
