I think this is waste of time. Even in the united states the voting system is not perfect, there are a lot of flaws. One Example is what keeps happening in Florida during voting. Changing the Voters register is good but a panacea to solving our electoral problems.Remember because Ghana lacks national data system with automatic update with other division or sub-departments, the voter register will be flawed. For instance names of dead relatives still remain. So a new register can be compiled but the system could be flawed within few months. The most important factors such as malfunctioned voting machines, lack of party supervision as happened to NPP, etc. are the ones should be the priority. A voter register can be flawed but is these other factors are in place it is difficult for vote rigging. Remember both sides faces the same issues.

So it is not necessary to compile a new register which is vulnerable withing weeks or few months. Parties especially the NPP should concentrate on how to train their polling agents and demand for better voter machines. And get prepared than wasting their energy. time and money on demonstrations and causing mayhem. Election is won by strategic and careful planning.

Finally if John Mahama and his surrogates in the Police and Judiciary will gag Ghanaians in their own country from speaking to issues, from picketing peacefully about issues, from exercising their constitutional and fundamental human and civil rights in a democracy, then in the citadel of democracy, he will shown and taught how democracy is truly practiced if that is what he and his party says they subscribe to and not that primitive strong-arm dictatorial North Korea type of nonsense currently prevailing in this country.
Hit him fully and let the world know and bring attention to issues of police brutality, the suppression of the rights of Ghanaians to all forms of free expression peacefully, under a democracy, the suppression of electoral reforms eg change in a discredited voters register which has the tendency to destabilize the country, and the failed leadership of the Mahama NDC gov't.
Ghana will not go back to the quasi-military and police jingoism of crassness that supplanted Ghana in the bowels of underdevelopment during the heady days of the revolution and it's long aftermath.
