Isnt there any other more sensible people whose opinions Ghanaweb can shop and present to its readers? The same thing used to apply to characters like Kwesi Pratt and Gabby Otchere Darko whose vulgar and persistently off-point opinions were, for some unfathomable reason, always thrown at us the reading public. Of course these were always answered with a deluge of insults and criticisms. Luckily, somewhere along the line, Ghanaweb seemsto have advised itself and stopped disrespecting its readers with the views of those two characters.

Now, Ghanaweb has brought on this NPP buffoon Arthur Kennedy whose opinions are so ridiculously prejudiced against Akuffo-Addo that no reasonable person would bother to read them.

I am not an NPP sympathizer of any kind but because the NPP stands on the verge of becoming the winner in the next elections, I do take an interest in the on-goings of the NPP only to prepare myself for what this country is up against, should they win the next elections. In this case, Ghanaweb is not helping people like me to get a fair assessment of the real state of affairs of the NPP.

Ghanaweb you can do better than this. Get the more intelligent perspectives - for and against, from the NPP.

Even as an outsider, it is obvious that the Kufuor faction in the NPP are for some seemingly petty ethnic agenda, bent on undermining Akuffo-Addo's Presidential campaign. Even though I do not wish the NPP well, this is not what we want to fester in the political domain of politics in Ghana.

And until those issues are contended with boldly in the NPP and those matters settled within the party, those seeming divisions will always exist.
There is a tradition in the NPP and that tradition needs to be respected and above all, it should work with the understanding that, we are all in this together and therefore supporting one means supporting the whole NPP party because at the core of that tradition and what it brings to governance is teamwork and competence which Ghanaians can vouch for.
Undermining that team spirit and support, when the shoe is on the other foot to create the impression, the other foot is the only healthy one, capable of hoping, stepping and jumping cannot in anyway bringing unity within the party.
The NPP tradition must work and work very well to achieve the desired goals in the interest of the people of Ghana and that should be the utmost priority because with the incompetent and looting NDC party and gov't, Ghana is assured and most definitely guaranteed a total disaster on the growth and development aspirations of this country.
Lawyer Appiah Menka articulated it best when he said, it is commonsense.
Having said that, it must be noted that all those who have made it their stock-in-trade to vilify the Great John Agyekum Kufuor, the most excellent, successful and visionary leader in contemporary Ghanaian politics need to apologize, and Akufo Addo would do well to call those elements to order in the NPP party.
There are members and sympathizers as well as opponents of the NPP, who follow the NPP party because of the Great John Agyekum Kufuor and his exemplary leadership and governance. Nobody can take that away from him and vilifying and maligning him is a sure recipe for electoral disaster.
Aside of that, it is not the tradition of the NPP party and such conduct should be stamped out of the party forthwith.
There must be order, discipline, decorum and respect in the NPP party because Ghanaians expect much higher standards from the NPP, and Ghanaians should be obliged fully and completely, no questions asked because it is within the nature and tradition of the NPP party to adhere to those tenets.
Ghana is yearning for leadership, competence and the vision the NPP party has got for this country and NPP cannot fail in this agenda. It is bigger than the party and any individual and that folks, should be the overriding interest in seeking the mandate of Ghanaians to govern this great country.

How else to explain away the mayhem going on within the NPP. If it's not a clique of the Afoko's, etc it's an internist who wants to be a politician preaching homilies of political advice.

A party which wants political power don't travel through this path of destruction, which is so patently self-inflicted it defies old fashion common sense.

God, a political campaign is different from taking out a diseased tonsils! It requires above all else, discipline of purpose which should be so self evident by now and which sadly this self-appointed political guru don't have.

In addition it requires a certain level of self sacrifice for the good of the party. That may require a bitting of the tongue regardless of the temptation to mount the proverbial bully pulpit of self relevancy.

The country is in dire-straits. The silent majority is crying for a new leader to steer the ship of state to a better tomorrow. But, the potential savior is being emasculated by his own people through an orchestrated political sabotage. The question is why?

Kuffour was having a birthday bash with his pals and diplomats in his house.He visibly cared less.It was clear he did not wish Nana well.Everyone saw through that.Nana Addo was very instrumental in bringing justice to kuffour's errand boy the thief Mallam Inusah, the defamed sports minister. Kuffour would later pardon Mallam Inusah.There was this deep-rooted bad rapport between Nana and kuffour.Kuffour seems to favour Allan his right hand protege to Nana for his own personal reasons.But as former president and still member of a party that brought him to power,kuffour should have no preference within the party and throw his full support to any democratically elected flagbearer of his party.In the light of this, I don't think Nana owes kuffour any apology. I have been struggling to understand the point you are making beyond what I see as advice to Nana to do more to unite the party to warrant this article. As a "leading member" of the party couldn't you find a better way to reach Nana Addo on these matters and spare us, your sympathizers, the nonsense of disunity in the party? You said there is division in the party, others denied your claim and now you have been vindicated and so what? If you believe sincerely Nana's apology to you and others is the panacea to the division in the party why making this simple and noble suggestion or advice in the media?
