As for helping to clear cars for free, it was a lie,he couldn't have be able to clear any car for free and $100,000.00 was way too much for those cars,as NGO they should have waived some of the fees for them but because of how the system is corrupt with mushrooming of NGOs like the churches it will be a difficult thing to do.
Police should take this case seriously and come to the bottom of the case once and for all,it is shameful to treat people who want to help us this way.
As for the chief living in Arizona they can deal with him in American way if the law permits that in Arizona or even at the federal level if possible,the money belongs to tax payers of America so if there is any wrong doing on his part he should account for it.

They are all involved. From Mahama family to Ministers, MP's, District chief Executives, assembly men etc. If anything the MP will rather be promoted. The top brass of the army, police and other security forces have all been bought and/or involved in the looting syndicate so these thieves will continue misruling Ghana until .... I hope one day a brave soldier or civilian will emerge suddenly to save us from these criminals, Insha Allah.

If you cannot use that oblong thing on your shoulders called 'a head' to reason for a minute, why are you still wasting the little food our poor children can eat and hopefully grow to help Ghana in the future? If you have a mirror, look into it and see the reflection vis-a-vis the political virus that is eating you up from the inside! I know it is difficult for you but try and see if you can think for yourself for a minute instead of always looking to denigrate someone else! May the Good Lord have mercy on you hapless soul. Amen

The escaped culprit can be extradited by the USA Government to stand trial immediately. Meanwhile, the MP must be sanctioned until the case is resolved, and he is absolved. If the MP is found guilty of complicity in the crime, he should be immediately jailed for a long time, and his assets confiscated to repay the stolen amount plus interests and lost taxes to the Government, if applicable.

Such is the reason why many Foreign Investors are reluctant to team up with Ghanaian private individuals to undertake any ventures in Ghana. Many of our folks are simply thieves who often use their local status, and the fact that our local Judiciary and Law Enforcement are corrupt to swindle foreign investors. These local con artists and crooks know they can buy their freedom from our corrupt Law Enforcement and Judicial system. That is why they seem to be persistent in their nefarious activities.

We should have a process of registering all foreign investments in Ghana, whether privately sought for, or originated by the Government, and whether or not they are for commercial or charitable causes.

If we could do so, then it becomes easier for any fraudulent use of foreign investments to be proven and prosecuted. All NGOs, especially, those with foreign appendages must be also audited by the Government periodically, at least, twice a year to ensure they are doing what they were registered for.

Not long ago, an American Pastor and philanthropist who had temporarily settled in Ghana, and was in partnership with a Ghanaian to help establish and run a School, was reportedly murdered by his Ghanaian counterpart so that their joint project would all be owned by the Ghanaian.

After the initial Media report on that murder, nothing else on the case was published by the Media anymore for us to know how that case concluded.

Inasmuch as I would not like to scare foreign investors away, I would like the Government to give all potential investors adequate caution as to how to stay safe and protect their investments in Ghana.

If we do not do so, we would soon run out of foreign investors willing to risk their lives and resources to help develop our Nation.

I hope these culprits are stringently dealt with according to the Law. They are disgracing Ghana, and stifling potential investments from outside.

But the NGO has to file a lawsuit in court because this is a civil matter .Can't instruct security agencies to arrest someone because you suspect you have been cheated in a deal (NGO sought the help of the MP to clear those vehicles, knowing he was no custom's officer).So the NGO can bring a lawsuit against these individuals. The court would hear their side of the story and would determine if it is a case of theft (criminality)or otherwise. The MP cannot on the other hand prevent anybody from entering the country. ..he is not an immigration officer in the same vein.He is only bragging. We are a country of laws.....despite it all.

He conived with the acting Buem Paramount Chief Nana Akuamoah of Kudje and threatened the sub chiefs of Buem who were questioning the MP on this case. Nana Akuamoah has been promised a post as Presiding Officer for Jasikan District Assembly after he has been nominated Assemblyman ( Government nominee) by the Jasikan District Chief Executive - Killian Abrampah. The MP- Ashiamah is mking efforts to seek nomination for Primaries again. Buem NDC should not allow him represent Buem again. He is tainted and corrupt to the core. What has he done for Buem to date? When Foreigners want to assist Buem he steals the aid. He knows no shame.
