I inherited all their ill gotten wealth; lived a loose life in the streets of London and Germany, patronised a special brothel booth in “red light” street in the Netherlands. As for my schooling I boycotted lectures so no certificate to show. As my monies were dissipating I remembered what my father dreamt of me when I visited him in his cell. My Father dreamt that I am the head of state and has ordered his released from prison. He cautioned me about my ill life style but I didn’t heed to him because I knew the old boy was suffering from hay fever. My father strictly cautioned again that if I have to sell all the properties to become what he dreamt of I have to.

I was living my life after the old boy passed on to the ancestors and my father’s friends and partners in crime impressed upon me to fulfil the dream my father had about me when he was in prison that I will one day become the head of state.(Some of them pose as men of God) I have thought of it as a great opportunity to loot big time to replenish what I have wasted; that’s why I desist to take part in the property grabbing and looting galore in a certain regime I was part of though I managed to pocket the balance of some sale of national properties with my fathers cronies.

I have done my best to obtain a ticket to fulfil my fathers dream to become head of state through my invincible forces by organising demonstration, market burning, Sabotaging national programs, beating my party Chairman and Secretary, blowing false alarms, lying about the state of the economy, boycotting state conferences, litigations in the courts, dirty street campaigns, pushing organisations to strike and many more. I have also become a chameleon: turned into Muslim, Christian, Hindi, Buddhist, Gay and Fetish now I don’t even know what I believe in.

I have also sold all the treasures bequeathed to me on my way to “flag staff house” Unfortunately failure has been my portion and I’m over 70 years of age; my father too is no more. This is not my dream but my fathers.

You may be doing the dirty work for the NDC but if you truly are of Northern descent, then I feel pity for you because you are not helping to project the self esteem of your people. What you will achieve in the end is to have a group of people with a herd mentality, incapable of making an informed decision about their lives and family because they have been taught to make decisions in the light of their ethnic affiliation.

I can't refer you to any book, but you sit down quietly and reflect on the lives and current status of all the races and tribes you know in this world. It will interest you to know that people who are filled with hatred and are constantly suspicious of others do NOT progress as fast as they should. It's just like running a race and looking over your shoulder; it affects your speed and focus. You should rather advice your people to look within themselves and solve their problems and then every tribe in Ghana will look up to them. Just stick your chest out and believe in yourself.

The world we live in today is not about the tribe you come from but rather about what you can achieve for yourself and family. That is why President Mahama would not raise a finger at his friends who embezzled millions of dollars that were meant to help alleviate the pains and sufferings of his folks in the north. In fact, northerners have become poorer under Mahama than any President in our 4th Republic save for his northern appointees, but then how many appointees can he make in a 26 million population? I am not exaggerating. Just go to our public hospitals in Accra and Kumasi and inquire about the kayayes who come to deliver at the final stage without payment all because they didn't register with NHIS and they also can't afford to pay the bills. Just do your checks and you will realize how they are putting our health facilities under huge financial constraints. That is just one example!

Sadly politics in our part of the world is more about personal ambition. Mahama will not think twice about selling all northerners if that will win him elections. If you doubt, just look at his actions and policies since he assumed office on 24th July 2012.

You can go on and on and do propaganda about NPP and Asantes/Akans and their supposed dislike for Bawumia, Afoko, Aliu and their northern folks whiles I can also do same for Rawlings and NDC as against Limann (North), Arkaah (Fante/Akan) and many others. As for those mathematics, any "idiot" can be an expert! So bring it on.

Lastly, a political party like the NPP is not a charity organizations that should award you candidacy because you come from some part of the country. That is why Ghana is suffering because when you run a "charity" political party, you end up thrusting on the people an incompetent, non-achieving and short-sighted President. In my candid opinion there are far better candidates in the NPP than Nana Addo but he has carefully built his root and support base over many years, that is why he is a candidate. If he he throws his support behind Bawumia after his time, then more likely, Bawumia will become President in future. I he doesn't I will blame him Nana Addo and not the entire NPP or some tribe. That will be very shallow-minded!

Bawumia is the son of a Moshie migrant from Burkina Faso who was a servant and drummer in the Nayiri's palace in Nalerigu. During trials, this Moshie man used to burst in to ask the witness or defendant if he has heard the Nayiri properly. Transltaed into the local Mamprusi language it was "Bawumia?", i.e. "Have they heard?". So he came to be called so and hardly anyone in Nalerigu could recollect his real name.

The descendants of this slave/servant got the chance to go to school through the palace. At that time the whiteman used to select only royals from the various chiefs in the north for schooling in the south. And it is the result of this that ended up producing Dr. Bawumia.

Now for this migrant to be accusing others of being non-Ghanaians is baffling. Even worse is the fact his wife, a Fulani, is a second generation migrant. His wife's grandmother carried her father on her back as they trekked across the savannah plains of North through unapproved routes. Surely they destroyed many farm crops along the way. Ghana being so accommodating, these Fulani have blended into the community and no one is questioning their background. Yet these migrants are questioning other people's citizenship.

Bawumia should learn from Aliu and Afoko and must be told that the shame awaiting him is gargantuan. It is as sure as the sun will set today and rise again tomorrow that he will taste bitterness.

He was strictly a private citizen working at Bank of Ghana in the capacity ofDDeputy Governor. Dr.Bawumia, prior to becoming the running mate of Nana Addo in 2008, never had any political alliance be it NDC, NPP, CPP or what have you. He was hitherto a private citizen working at the Bank of Ghana so that idiot in North Carolina Arthur Kennedy should give us a break. That's a bunch of nonsense he just told. He has no clue what he's talking about. Yes, people like Arthur Kennedy and other NPP members with Presidential ambition are threatened by Dr.Bawumia butI llike to tell them that their fears will soon materialize. @Yaw: I agree with you that many see Bawumia as a threat to their presidential ambitions and that is normal in every democracy. It starts with personal interest and there would not be Bawumia if not Nana Addo, just like the late Atta-Mills and his political mentor Jerry Rawlings.

Back to the issue, having presidential ambition in itself is not bad. Democracy thrives in competition and diverse opinions. The real problem facing NPP today is that the supposed "die hards" followers of Nana see every disagreement with Nana Addo as hatred and/or plot against Nana and this is causing so much distrust. Why else would anybody suggest that Kwabena Agyepong has an Agenda 2020 and that he wants Nana to lose the 2016 elections? I admit that I don't have detailed information about Afoko's history in the NPP but I vehemently disagree with those making those wild allegations of him having evil anti-Akufo-Addo agenda. Both Kwabena and Afoko are true faiithfuls of the NPP and it is very wicked for anyone to try to denigrate and deny them their rightful place in the party!

Kwabena Agyepong's problems began immediately he aligned himself to Alan in the 2010 NPP Presidential primaries. When he was the Campaign Director for Nana in 1998, I did not hear any follower of Kufuor accusing him of plotting against Kufuor's chances. So I agree largely with Dr Kennedy when he calls for members to recognize their own instead of honouring new members and abusing the sons of NPP. That is not to say we shouldn't question the actions of our own.

In every party or group, there are preferences. In a political party you may like Candidate A, whiles I also prefer Candidate B. If your preferred candidate wins, that does not mean I don't want your winning candidate to win the elections. I still may not like his candidature but I will prefer him to win because it is the party that we serve. Afoko and Kwabena may have preferred a different candidate to Nana but that does not make them enemies to Nana. Neither are they traitors. If Nana and his followers in the party do not understand these basic rules in politics, then I'm afraid they are not smart politically!

I hope they open their eyes very soon.

Arthur K himself is of doubtful loyalty, so I will trust Bawumia anyday over him. There are suspicions that Afoko and Agyepong are in bed with the NDC govt; if this is proven, will Arthur K still trust them with his kife over so-called new converts? People like Arhur Kennedy are not helping the cause of NPP. For someone who lost a presidential primary with only one vote belonging to himself and then lost a parliamentary with an equally poor return, I think he has outlived his usefulness to the NPP.

I support the two because they have served the Party well and have not broken any Party rules to deserve the scandalous treachery the others have been plotting against them.

I fault the premise of Arthur Kennedy's reasoning for supporting the two. It is more of what the two do that should earn them support than just because they have been lifelong members of the Party. Similarly, it is what the new arrivals in the Party do that would earn them a hearty welcome or disenchantment of the members.

This means that no one, in spite of how long they have been in the Party, could take the essential tenets of the Party for granted. It would not matter if it were Akufo-Addo or Kufuor, Mpiani or Gabby Otchere-Darko, Sir John or Kwabena Agyapong, etc.

With this kind of reasoning as offered by Arthur Kennedy, there seems to be a cause for worry that he might have been bitten by the jealousy bug, which drives someone who has been in the Party longer to believe that by his or her sheer period of longer duration membership he or she deserves some recognitions more than newer members.

Dr. Kennedy, thus, implies that period of membership must be given precedence over quality of service to the Party when, say, considering members for higher Offices. That would be wrong.

If that was the case, then he, Dr. Kennedy, should not have ever questioned Akufo-Addo's bid for the Presidency, or preferred any other Presidential candidate among the lot to Nana for the Party's Flagbearership. That is because Akufo-Addo is believed to have served longer in the Party and contributed more to it than Alan, or Apraku, or Dr. Frimpong Boateng, or him, Kennedy.

However, the other factors that sum up the quality of service one brings to the Party are what turn the table to allow fair and competent democratic competition within the Party.

Therefore, Arthur Kennedy would be better off strengthening his integrity by stressing his support for Afoko and Agyapong, not because they have served longer in the NPP than their counterparts, Blay and Bawumia, but because the besieged duo have served the Party with excellence, and have not broken any Law to be so hounded even before they had settled in their Offices.

While not agreeing that Arthur K's assertion of Messrs Agyapong and Afoko villification is true, I would like to point out that it is not long service that counts, what counts is our individual contribution NOW towards the ending of the raping of mother Ghana by the NDC govt.

Anyone who works against our prime objective of rescuing Ghana from the incompetent Mahama admisistration that has borrowed Ghana to bankruptcy is a traitor and cannot be trusted and for this sole reason Arthur K himself should not be trusted.

Let Arthur Kennedy know that even if Dr Bawumia became NPP only in 2008 when Nana Addo named him as running mate, he has done more to improve the Party's fortunes than he Arthur Kennedy. At least in 2012 Bawumia's presence gave the NPP 10 seats in the Northern Region, the highest since 1992. How many seats has Arthur Kennedy ever helped the NPP get in the Central Region?
What makes Arthur Kennedy think he alone knows what is good for the NPP? Please Arthur K, analyse the reasons for the one vote you got in the 2007 flagbearer race and your defeat even in your bid for a parliamentary candidate and leave Nana alone. He is not the cause of your failures.

There are some people within the NPP which I believe have an agenda just to derail the chances of the party in 2016 elections. It is my personal opinion that people Dr Arthur Kennedy are like a journalist always on beat looking feverishly for scoop within his party. Consciously or unconsciously I can not fathom what his intentions are because it is not easy to see good in it. His latest article about Dr Bawumia has no merit. That Bawumia is a latter day saint is no-brainer. That Bawumia is trusted more than Kobina Agyekum is not automatic but earned. Mr Kennedy should know that respect is always earned. There is no barometer to check why Bawumia appears to be more respected or trusted than Kobina but Mr Kennedy knows more than anybody in the world why it is so and why he is not admitting openly baffles me. Money does not buy respect neither does his sour articles transforms the experience of every level headed Ghanaian. Even people in NDC admire the courage, dexterity, intelligence and gentleness of Bawumia. Whether he is an NDC coverts is neither here nor there for within his short stay in NPP this guy has proven himself worthy to be trusted. I wish i could simply tell Dr Kennedy to shut up if he has nothing beneficial to enhance the chances of NPP. I can not understand what he wants to achieve by comparing the trustworthiness of Bawumia and Kobinah Agyapong. It is said that small minds discuss people, big minds discuss events but great minds discuss ideas. Next time I wish Dr Kennedy would share ideas instead of discussing personalities at this time even non-NPP members are seeking peace and unity in the party for the good of Ghana.

Anyway I dont blame you it is only fulish person who does not know his own insults. But now that you are tell us (northerners) that we cannot join the NPP at any level we thank you.
But I would wish that you tell members of the party what you (arthur) have done and can do for the party that His Excellency to be Alhaji Dr. Bawumia has not done oe cannot do.
Let's talk about personality and popularity because no body knows you. Alhaji Dr. Bawumia has been tried and tested in his own field of study and outside.
Tell us just a single case you have ever handled in your own field which in your own opinion can even help the country you claim to belong to.
Oh yh come out with theories to support common ailments in Ghana. Alhaji Dr. Bawumia is an international man and would perform creditably just as he does in his country. You are limited to only your hospital and that is it. So anyway you have to make noise to be heard. I am putting it to you that you are not a capable medical doctor or else you would not have run to enjoy greener pasture in that states.
