  Another corrupt institution. Have they figured out how to deliver our letters safely without their workers stealing them. My friend told me of how her son never got any of the letters, postcards and other materials she mailed from the US for the three years that he son was in one of the SHSs in Accra. Real Estate was what brought down what used to be PANAM Airlines. Parliament should stop this foolish adventure. What is the synergy between mail delivery and real estate?

  This shameful company whose workers keep on stealing customers' packages now want to venture into real estate business. Only God knows where my over $2000 worth of package that was insured and mailed from the USA is at this point in time. I am sorry there is no need to add extra work for your incompetent staffs since it is going to be a complete failure. Crazy institution.

  Ghana Post would have been bankrupt had it not be the Tertiary Institutions mails they have been handling. This estate venture will drain their coffers pretty quick and cause financial loss to the company in no time.

  Please read it well. They did not say they will manage the real estate business. They intend to get more from non income earning asset to fund their core business. In a PPP, Ghana Post will simply make available its lands for the development of the estate, in return for revenue share. Ghana Post will remain the owners of the land and will receive lease payment from property owners.
  
  Do you prefer Ghana Post not to utilize their assets and let them to be encroached upon?

  There are enough financial incentive in post than real estate. They have not even giving each house with post address yet, mails are still access at the office premises except a few. they should concentrate on this plus many other opportunities ie.
  - parcel delivery services
  - ecommerce services
  - issueing prepaid visa/mastercard system.
  - mini banking services.
  - forex
  - etc
  under each one of these there are tons of service for residential, small business and larger firms. I even wonder if they have provided mail boxes to estate communities to deliver post. When we say people if position should think, this is how they should think not eating and drinking afterwards spew cabbage.

  If indeed, laws operate in Ghana, then this GO wouldn't be planning to use state acquired land for some specific purposes for a real estate business. The GO has no mandate to do that. Besides, the law says that if the purpose for which the land was acquired no longer exist, then the land should revert to the original owners. This dubious attempt to yet again turn state land into private hands must therefore be resisted by all and sundry.
  
  People in govt must think of the needs of govt institution not only now, but in 20 yrs, 50 years, 100yrs, 150 yrs 200yrs,... Xyrs time. With pop expanding at such a fast rate and facilities far behind what's needed, I bet in 20 yrs, many of such lands will be required by the GO to fulfill its core mandate.
