This minister assumes that Ghanaians are kids and he can manufacture Kwaku Ananse explanation and Ghanaians will buy it. His explanation does not make sense and an insult to the intelligence of Ghanaians.

He claims the bonus was paid from unspent cash as a result of the team and officials spending two instead of five days in Ruwanda and three extra days in Congo. We know that Rwanda is more expensive than Congo but the question is how much expensive? How much was spent on the team and officials each day in Congo so that that much savings were made from three days in Congo that could pay the players' bonus? If the figures are known the minister will struggle to add up the numbers and he will know that being clever does not always pay as he will come out as being stupid with this concocted story.

But if that logic stands, it means they spent more days in Congo than originally planned for so there should not be savings for any less days spent in Rwanda as that would compensate for the extra days spent in Congo.

1. Does the Minister mean that they took cash around for the upkeep of the officials for the seven days in Rwanda? Have they ever heard of visa cards? What does he then mean by we did not fly cash to Rwanda?
2. Does the Minister mean that cash meant for officials upkeep for 5 days was enough to pay players bonuses? How much was it? So what does he mean by we did not fly cash to Rwanda?
3. Does the Minister mean that an official in the team could decide without any authorization to pay bonuses with cash meant for officials? Didn't the group have a leader?
Surely, Dr Mustapha could do better than this. Or he still thinks majority of Ghanaians are not capable of discerning? He should just bow down his head in shame.
