Readers would recall that Betty Mounds was the one who awarded SCHOOL building contracts at a triple price of the existing contract sum of some GH 80,000.00. And this happened at a time when they claim inflation was in the single digits. Could you imargin how foolish these criminal liars were. Kuffour built similar structures with 80,000 at a time when inflation was around 14.8% and under Mills it was 240,000 at a rate of 8.8%. And these buffoons turn around to blame the fall of the cedi on some mysterious dwarfs. I don't blame those African countries that have been ripped apart by civil unrest because if you have such buffoons in power who always turn our local elections into a West Africa one
by contracting Togolese Trokosis, Burkinabe and Wangaras from La Cote D'ivoire to vote for them, the " Road To Kigare", is sometimes, a likely option to kick their ass from power.

Another round of chop chop, why do we have to waste our country "s hard earned foreign currency to import guinea chicks from Belgium ,when we have the experts and the resources here in Ghana. In the Northern region, we have Pong Tamale veterinary College where SADA could have pumped in some few cedes to revamp their livestock and hatchery sectors and all the results could have being gotten here and a lot of foreign exchange could have been saved
The private sector is another,the private farms such as Darko Farms where over five hundred thousand chicks could be hatched in a month and our problem would be solved. If Ghana would be allowed to move forward we must look at our own resources and people with competence and stop politicizing beautiful projects such as this.Over ten thousand guinea fowl eggs can be gotten from Navrongo in the upper east region where a lot of guinea fowl eggs are always found in abundance and also in the Northern region and upper west region, a lot of guinea fowl eggs could be found, .why can't we rely on our own resources but rather choose to give our hard earn foreign exchange to develop other countries. Our leaders must stop thinking about their pockets and put mother Ghana first.

I hate it when some Official claims to know best, and still gets things done with mediocrity. If the Guinea Fowls in Belgium were allowed as much free range as SADA probably does, there would not be any chicks in Belgium for SADA to import.

This revelation of importing Guinea Fowl Chicks from Belgium only adds another layer of incredulity to the SADA saga. Why could we not simply have our own incubators to hatch the Chicks here at home where it is considered their natural habitat?

The importation of the Birds only adds to the suspicion that SADA seeks for some avenue to hide its rotten corruption. It is only through some cockamamie stories like this that SADA could justify its humongous fraud.

I bet my bottom dollar that the Birds never flew back home from Burkina Faso, neither did they ever have to flee there, as SADA is claiming. In fact, SADA did not have them in the first place. Period! If it did, they were simply roasted for Chinchinka and Pito Parties. I strongly believe that, rather, the Institution bolstered its current Bird population with the importation of Chicks from Belgium.

The Organization must open its books to scrutiny and have the Public know where it got the money to even import the chicks from Belgium.

Meanwhile, we ought to know how many of the birds have ever been sold to bring in any revenue at all. And I am not talking about profit. These Birds do not need years to mature for sales on the Market. So, how many have been sold since their introduction into the SADA program, and how much revenue was obtained, even to shore up SADA's finances.

If SADA wants to build a poultry of Guinea Fowls, it should have involved experts like Darko Farms that have had decades of experience in the field of raising birds. It would not matter if Guinea Fowls have unique characteristics like frequently flying high and far. That would have all been considered by the experts and they would have suggested the best ways to contain the birds to their home grounds.

If the fowls were considered Wild Life, too, then SADA could have conferred with the Game and Wildlife Department to learn the best ways to keep them and increase their population in their habitat. Even if there were a natural pattern of migration in the bird's life cycle, the Game and Wildlife Department could have devised a better scientific way to ensure their retention in the local area.

SADA knew that it was in this environment of Wild where all of us, especially the Government, have least shown accountability to cause the unprecedented devastation of our Forest Estates, that it could squander our Funds without taking much blame for it, if any at all. SADA's attitude with its afforestation Project tells it all.

The larger portion of its funding ought to have gone into other areas of economic activities where the results of developmental efforts could be more easily measured and noticed and obtained.

SADA could have embarked upon massive rejuvenation of Agricultural projects involving local farmers, including encouraging and financially supporting private Farmers to form Cooperatives or expand their farms on their own with better Extension expertise.

Then the Organization would lead the Ministries of Agriculture and Trade in seeking Export markets for excess production. That would have been a faster way to develop the Northern and Upper Regions.

Countries like Israel with unmatched experience and expertise in tilling areas challenged climatically, could have been invited as partners to share investments and technology and knowledge. But I guess, the less-talked-about affinity of the majority Islamic practitioners in those areas to Arab Nations, and their almost automatic aversion for Israel as a Jewish Nation, might have been in the way. This is where I draw the line between religion and secular governance. The bottom line is that our folks must live out of poverty and have the chance to enjoy progress and prosperity in peace. While we should all strive to contribute our little mite to bring Peace in the Middle-East, we would be wrong to take sides not on moral principles and pragmatic National interests but on raw religious sentiments.

It is an aspect of a mature Nation to not let such privately held beliefs impede mutual cohabitation and advancement, both individually and as a Nation.

So, let SADA prove it has what it takes to succeed. So far, it is the same old story of making up justifications that do not reflect what is on the ground. Our investments must produce profits or shut down without deeper losses. Period! We could find other ways to develop the Northern and Upper Regions beyond SADA, which I would propose shutting down, if it persists in underperformance.

Again, more industries that best suit the environment could be encouraged to locate in those Regions to boost employment for the Youths as well. Graduates from their higher Institutions would then not have the need to migrate South for permanent residence.

A Ghana Guinea fowl returning from Burkina Fasso was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree," sighed the Guinea fowl, "but I haven't got the energy. "Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull. "They're packed with nutrients." The Guinea fowl pecked at a lump of dung and found that it actually gave him enough strength to reach the first branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, there he was proudly perched at the top of the tree. Soon he was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot the Guinea fowl out of the tree.

This means that in all, Ghana gov't will have to pay back GH296million from tax payers money for no work done just like Woyome.
