  5% is too high.It means a house costing 80 thousand dollars will attract a tax of 4 thousand dollars.This pure madness.

  This case should go to Court.
  
  The developers do already pay VAT on most of the building materials they use in building the properties, so this double taxation.

  The developers do already pay VAT on most of the building materials they use in building the properties, so this double taxation.
  
  If the govt is interested in revenue, the govt should cut its expenditure on free fuel to most top people, expensive official cars, abuse of official cars at weekends for funerals, picking children from school, carting of private stuffs e.g building materials at weekends etc etc

  Tema Steel Works, GHACEM, Aboso Glass Factory, Prefab Concrete Products,to name a few, if traitors had developed these things we would not be importing materials for construction!!
