Prof. Sense of urgency is relative. It is exactly what is required to move Ghana forward forward but with the smart Ghanaian mentally to steal at any opportunity, one has to be careful. As a president you can mitigate such trap by appointing the right people to work with. He has not done so! The civil servants who are charged with carrying out government programs are rigged with incompetence, laziness, corruption and bureaucracy.

It's not only President Mahama who lacks the sense of urgency but his ministers as well, particularly Seth Tepker. Either they are complacent, incompetent or bankrupt of ideas. I couldn't agree more with the professor on how Mahama has handled dumsor. I was shocked to read from President Mahama that dumsor has slowed down the economy. That was an understatement of the decade, if not the century.

Dumsor has virtually killed Ghana's economy in the past three/four years. Has President Mahama and his finance minister got the sense of urgent and done everything financially possible to resolve dumor within the shortest possible time, they would have reaped the benefits of a growing and performing economy from all sectors. Sadly, President Mahama has been promising to end dumsor ages ago and dumor is no end an end.

Every town, village and hamlet in Gonjaland has received a facelift with new facilities such as roads, toilet facilities, markets, mosques, good quality water projects, electricity extension projects, etc. The question is did J. J. Rawlings do the same thing to Voltarians when he was in power for twenty years? What about Atta Mills. The good old Prof was in power for three and a half years yet he was not selfish to only concentrate on his people in Ekumfi Etuam and the central Region but rather his whole thought was for the general good. No wonder under the care of Prez Mills, Ghana achieved a growth rate of 11%, single digit inflation and the smooth implementation of the Single Spine Pay Policy where newly recruited police personnel received the nominal equivalence of 500dollars as monthly salary. Compare these achievements to the nepotism and selfish policies of the Mahama government that has crippled the Ghanaian economy. I really weep for Ewes and Fantis whose votes brought Mahama to power and yet are the hardest hit by the current hardship prevailing in the country.

Your party founder built the Akosombo dam since then what improvement had been done on it.I thought you would have suggested that you would rain and raise the water level as required to supply electricity within one day, or design and construct the Berge and solar systems to ease out the problem.
