We all know that he has lost a lot in terms of putting monies into politics and of those who sponsored him in the past and now, so there is no way that he can doge corruption, he is already smeared with corruption.His father did it, we know how his father invested in him when he was small hence his source of wealth which he is squandering.Age has reach him so may not loot for himself but cronies and family ties.So declaring your assets don not make much sense, is a form of desperation hence a frafra proverb , kill your donkey and walk, Nana is attempting to kill his donkey and make the walk.

I also recall the Atta Mills administration asking parliament and others to do as such but for which you, Nana and others, have not done to date. Ghana needs a leader not a follower. Ghana needs a forward thinking, wise leader with foresight, ideas and ideals not one who will do what Nigeria's leader demands and commands. It is very unfortunate that Nana Addo is creating an impression that public servants do not declare their assets. That is not the law in Ghana. All public servants in Ghana above certain ranks(the President, his vice, miminsters, directors, MMDCEs, chief executives of public institutions, etc all declare their assets upon assumption of office to the auditor-general. It is not done publicly. And this Nana Addo knows it is the existing law which rigidly enforced by the auditor-general. Perhaps what Nana should have said is he will declare his assets publicly or on becoming the President he will lobby Parliament to amend the law on the declaration of assets by public servants be made public than what it is now. As an MP he declared his assets as required by law like all other MPs. President Ku four did so also were his appointees. So what he is talking about? Has the existing law changed?
