What person in their right mind will deny what Tony Yeboah is saying. Those of us who grew up with the colts system, interco etc are aware of this. Moreover, some very young football enthusiasts have been hammering the GFA but it appears the GFA is not interested. ONLY THE BLACK STARS. The inclination is to look around urope for stars whilst they abound in our schools and colleges. All they need is to be propped up by the Football Association.

Ghana football has already been collapsed. How many times does the Stadium get filled to capacity ? One or twice per year. The problem is the introduction of the premier league in our football system because we need to go back to the previous system where the highest level was the first division. That way we will have room to develop talent but by copying the European system of the premiership division is not helping Ghana soccer. Sometimes we have to listen to OGOGLO QUARTER to bring back the colts and the inter schools.

But i beg to differ on the colts football argument. colt football has not been neglected; colts football is dieing a natural death; colts football was not organised by the football association, it was organised by private individuals. colts football was too crude to stand the test of time.
now we have academies springing up all over the places with better facilities, better funding and better equipment which the crude colts football could not compete. this academies are admitting young boys who are maturing fast.

A very wise saying from Tony, ask the west how much they pay to the players at tournaments. UK for instance pays a little over £2,000 and the rest of the money is used to develop their youth. GFA is not being managed well.
