Secondly, Professor Adei slightly touched on the "undeserved benefits" that Ghanaian politicians and other officials, some even lower level civil servants, enjoy: Why FREE bungalows, cars, utilities, drivers and on and on?? Some extras that even rich nations like the United States doesn't shower its politicians and civil servants with.

On the Federal level in America, only the President and Vice President HAVE FREE HOUSING. There're about 15 Congressmen (MPs in Ghana) right now who SLEEP in their offices after work, although their take home salary is $174,000 annually each. Can’t America provide them with free housing if she (America) fogies FREE foreign aid to 5 African countries in one year? But, heck no. If you’re paid a salary, you damn well should pay for you housing and transportation. It’s called “Responsibility.”

A whole lot of the FREEBIES for politicians and civil servants should be revisited an SCRAP from the governance of the country. So are our presidents and others must be forced to PAY their fair share of income and property taxes—else, who should pay taxes so they get paid? Our country is dead broke, although some politicians are Ghetto fabulous" in that Mickey Flick.

They should rather fulfill their duties diligently to prove the Prof. otherwise. We do not need Ansa to know that politicians and public officers are either known or perceived to be CORRUPT. Some of our "honorable" personalities are dragging the image of our noble democratic institutions into the trash can. And it is about time our "honorable" Parliamentarians take these broad brush criticisms in good faith and thus turn things around for the better.

It is an established fact that our lawmakers are all corrupt. It is no longer a perception, but an established fact that our parliamentarians are very corrupt. If they feel slighted and cannot stand the insults, let them resign, otherwise they must shut the fuck up and learn to be above board.

If a blind man wants to throw a stone at you, chances are he is either holding or standing on one. The Professor is not stupid to make allegations that he cannot substantiate.

Assuming without admitting, that Pro. accession is not correct,could it be that the apparent justification by member of Parliament too is not correct, because he also failed educating as why in his option the accession is not correct but rather choice to attacked the man.In my option he could have done Parliament a good service,if he had opted for an investigation before they could make public utterances. And more importantly the utterances has even affirmed the accession that indeed, there is some sought of corrupt practice.
We need to take cognisant of the fact that the MPs are agent(representative) of the citizens which they ought to be respected and we the citizens also deserved some sought of respect.

To me the statement was an opportunity for Parliament to examine or investigate in establishing the fueling of such perception and also establishing the authenticity of such accession,

Look how fat and polished they now parade around in very lavish lifestyles. All those cars, houses and businesses they own under the table for fear of being tagged with excesses. Let them calculate their salaries plus all the perks and deduct their expensive lifestyle debts, you can bet, there will be a huge hole of expenditure that can't be explained as to where the monies came from.
