She was also instrumental in ending some outmoded traditional rites that women had to endure after the death of their husbands. She is human and may have her own faults and ambitions but it is a shame to call her names. Democracy, Francois Mitterand once said, is not good for Africans. We Africans just cannot reason to agree to disagree without insults and pulling weapons. The same path that minors passed into the current register will be used to send them into the new one. Politicians are the same. The EC must be seen by all to be very transparent. Qualified literate representatives from all political parties and accredited civil societies must be invited and be involved in the current review of the process to determine the accuracy and authenticity of the EC data base of our electoral register. It is not good enough for the EC to invite an unknown secretive outside ( lT )company to check the alleged compromised data base. The name of the company must be publicly known. At the end of the day the EC can never stop nor subvert the will of we the people.
