The MPs have themselves to blame for this mess. Go to the genesis of the term MPs common fund. It was maliciously devised to create the impression that MPs are bringing monies to their constituencies. The MPs have been claiming undeserved credit for projects carried with these funds thus confusing the electorate. In the process, they reinforce the idea the MPs are filthy rich.
