Mangoes and pineapples comes in varieties throughout the globe, based on their taste and make up. Ghana mangoes I know is liquid to squeeze and sap to drink. I came across mangoes in USA that could be eating as appreh apples of Ghana. Everywhere you go across the globe, you will come across fruits of the same group of variety kinds, and Ghana should have the priviledge to experience all for knowledge purposes.

The issue or the problem of the company is, how are they aiding in the production of Ghanaian kinds of mangoes and pineapples to use some locally and export the rest for other countries to know our kinds. If they just t want to reap profits without helping to grow them, then it is their fooly.

Bad tendentious journalism no home work done. First of all blue skies needs mango and in our part of the world its not the season yet. Secondly md2 pineapple has been developed for fresh transport by ship and the smooth Cayenne and sugar loaf are more useable for juice and local consumption because they are cheaper to produce. Also Blue Skies was first flying off season mangoes to the UK and mix the final product there, and now in Ghana. So Ghana is profiting from the free market instead of loosing

in Florida orange growers farm in what is called pollination area's. Some types pollinate earlier than others also depending on day length and temperature. On top of that in California there are large height differences who also influence the time of pollination.
To you it looks like their are always oranges, and there are but there are constantly different types of oranges.
Ghana is a relatively flat country and the diversity of mango types is limited to the types our export clients like. Also our daylight/night cycles differ year round only 30-45 minutes so there are not many seasonal factors we can affordable change. Good research and trying out different types of mangoes and could extend seasons but until that happens Blue Skies will need to import off season mangoes outside our mango season if they want to export fresh tropical fruit juice including mango.
