Why should we sit down for this? Akufo Addo has just finished his "Rise and Build" tour, and like magic the guy who lacks original ideas must find some excuse to shadow box him, and presto he comes out with this nonsense of " Touching Lives" tour. The 2016 elections is over a year away, but clueless president is spending state resources to do his campaign.
We have seen this crass campaign tactics before, he used the same tactics back in 2012 and called it "Aseda or Thank you" tours after Atta Mess death. This underperforming and clueless president knows not what to do, given the sinking fortunes of Ghana, he has the nerves to go out of the office to start electioneering campaign 365 days away, what the 4uck does he take the country for? As I write our debts are mounting, the interest we pay on our Eurobond debts is the highest in the world, over 10%, youth unemployment is mind boggling - we are tipping towards irreversible explosive conditions that is pregnant with the likes of Boko Haram or Arab Spring - arm robbers have taken over the neighbourhoods, you dare not travel in the night, and this man who is endangering our collective future, thinks he has nothing to do but start campaigning again to renew his mandate. For what? Nonsense!
Touching lives my ass. For all I care you have been TORCHING OUR LIVES. Our lives is on fire Mr. President. Your minister said he is not your spokesman and spineless you cannot even reprimand him, but ironically you are the one who has become his spokesman, apologizing and making excuses for him. Since you are in the apologizing mode, why don't you go ahead Mr. President, and apologize for all the knuckleheads in your administration for the insults they have been heaving on the populace for daring to criticize you any time? You are weak Kofi Dubai.

Now I now how stupid Mahama is. Why should he apologize to the media houses on behalf of his Minister ? Hasn't this Minister the right mouth to speak and to apologize himself. A competent President should have the authority to discipline his subordinates, let them know what's right and what's wrong. Apologizing on his behalf means the President is weak and cannot control his own Ministers and Presidential staffers.A typical example is the Stan Dogbe's affair where he's not intervened either for fear of being blackmailed. The problem is ostensibly the fact that he's involved in so many creat loot and share scandals that any attempt to punish their wrongdoings would result in him been torpedoed and denounced so he prefers to remain like mumu.

Oyokoba, I am stunned and saddened by your outburst. Directing such venom towards a President who inherited an economy that was already on the brink, speaks volumes about the partisanship that has poisoned our political climate. Couldn't you have pointed out his shortcomings without as much as verbally whipping him?
Yes, the economy is anemic and sure, youth unemployment is sky-high and absolutely true, social behavior as evidenced by the high rate of criminality is completely out of hand, nonetheless, we all have to work collectively as a group belonging to one sovereign nation cal Ghana to make things right.
I bet you, if Akuffo Addo were to win, the economy four years into his reign will still be stuttering...the economy problem we have is structural and until policy makers realize that and do something dramatic to set it on the right course, the problems will persist long after you Oyokoba and I depart this earth....

How can that remark," go and ask the president be derogatory",he said he has no idea of what you are asking him and he replied the president said it and the minister replied then go and ask the president, what is derogatory about that, how is that derogatory, the only thing is that the minister was evasive,he didn't want to say anything to commit himself which is normal but to say what he said was derogatory just shows we don't know what we are saying.
I think there was no need for the president to apologize to the media, the man didn't offend the media, there was nothing offensive there, you don't always have to answer the media that is not good communication practice,if you don't want to commit yourself you don't answer questions,it is simple as that,we always make a mistake by answering questions we are not sure of just to appease the media and we end up doing the worse thing which is later used against us.

This dead goat is really useless and does not know what he is doing. He is just not a presidential material. Since he is stupid let me try to explain to him.
What the power minister said was affront to the Presidency and the constitution. If you can recollect, one of the Ashanti Chiefs said a similar thing when KWAKU dua ran into problems last year and the chief was almost destooled. The power minister insulted all Ghanaians because of his unguarded comments against the presidency (may be mahama does not consider himself as a president of Ghana but NDC PRESIDENT) so if that is it so be it after all he does not merit to be the president of Ghana. The power minister did not commit any crime against the journalists. For mahama therefore to apologize to the mass media for the power minister means he is rubbish. In the animal kingdom, even this cannot happen, not to a lion. It is absurd stupidity. This is what foolishness can cause a nation when the poor are kept in pepertual ignorance, and worse of all when they refuse to use their brains. Mahama,s behavior in a civilized country should have been reprimanded but here we are where the people are voting for umbrella or elephant (low IQ people). If that is what Ghanaians want so be it. Troop up in your numbers and vote for this man who does not know what he is doing. When you start fighting and you don't know the cause of the fight, you will learn your lessons the hard way

It has happened before in so many places. A word to the WISE is enough. We can't continue like this. We are supposed to be knowledgeable in Africa. We can't reduce ourselves too low and enter crisis. The action of Prez Mahamah on the uncomplimentary remarks by the Power Minister, Dr. Kwabena Donkor, shows that he is the source of the problem. The Minister's response shows his anger and frustration on the impediments being put in his way to perform as expected. The apology is therefore, invariably to the Minister for the Prez's gross incompetence. Ghana has adequate capacity to provide its power needs but the problem is the inability of government to provide sufficient inputs to generate the power as alluded to by the experts. Mr. Prez don't cover your incompetence by apologizing to the media, rather this should be directed emphatically to the Power Minister and the nation. You should be preparing to stepping down as a total failure in leading this abundant resource nation. African leaders should learn from the advanced countries by resigning when it's unambiguously clear that they have failed in leadership as being experienced in Ghana now. Your continuous stay in power with mediocrity of visionless ideas, further worsens the poverty of the people.

The president did the right thing but I wished he would have fired the minister as well. Why am I saying so? Every minister or appointee is the president's representative. He or she is supposed to stand-in for the president and run things. If an appointee doesn't know this, he or she does need not be in office.
The kind of politics that we practice in Africa doesn't make accountability effective.

If the behaviour of Ghanaians clearly show that they are still babies or infants in politics If you read Ghana politics all that you find is insults.First it was very hard to find in a Ghanaian culture a person insulting an elderly person but now politics and democracy have destroyed the barriers of disciplines and respects in our communities. We must give respect to our elders so that we can live longer.Insults cannot solve the problems of the country what is important is to speak up your mind to effect a change in government. We should not be party -like we should not cast our vote for a party which do not have the interest of the nation at stake.Ghana is for us all if things go right we all will enjoy.Any party which is not able to solve common problems of the nation must be voted out.If NDC government for the past 6 years has not been able to solve some pressing problems what do you expect for another 4years .A word to a wise Ghanaian is enough
