In democracy, it is the majority decision that count, even if election is made and there is a proof or an indication that the election was rigged, so instantly the majority demonstrate for a while against the seating president and its government, this has not option than to call for a new election to confirm its seat.
This is democracy, so if these leaders who knows the laws of our country proper well from both NDC and NPP as well as many other NGOs who are you to make cheap propaganda in our public domain, although it is your right to say your mind.

And you will understand the importance of the ongoing debate. Those countries had Electoral Commissions, But know that, the Commission is set up to serve the collective interest of the people and should therefore listen to the concerns of the people. The Commission is not an authority to itself. With our recent experience with election litigation in Ghana, every semblance of tension that could plunge our beautiful country turned beggars, should be seriously looked into. The commission MUST listen to the concerns to all parties involved, investigate their concerns, and arrive at a consensus agreeable to all in order to make our elections as transparent as possible and its result as acceptable as possible to all. Failure to do same is like sowing the seeds of conflict and ignorantly advocating for an unnecessary spillage of innocent blood. If you don't know what election disagreements can do, Study other countries, Kenya, Rwanda etc etc. As men of God, we need to allow the wisdom of God guide our utterances and not our desire to please the powers that be for any perishable awards.

The EC according to article 45 and 46 of the Ghana Constitution is the only body mandated to manage all aspects of elections including asking for a new voters register and a district to be created to be created if the EC deems fit. Nobody under the very laws of Ghana which was signed by former President Rawlings has the power to interfere with the operations of the EC. the EC is completely independent. If anyone has an issue, the fellow should petition the EC and if the fellow still feels aggrieved, the fellow can go to court and not force the EC simply because someone has spent all his family's fortunes on his quest to get power for many years and its not coming to him is his life time so the EC should be forced to help him come to power. Not at All for Akufo Addo to be president. John Dramani Mahama is the one who is president and WILL WIN the 2016 Elections too. This is not bible but politics. In politics everybody speaks his or her opinion freely; hence I beg to differ from my senior colleague but with respect to his opinion. Why I differ is that that EC does not work in vacuum and neither is the institution private but public owned by the people. So we should not allow the noise people are making to cloud our personal views. The people who work at the EC must not be made to feel they are not accountable to anybody. If EC is accountable then people can speak to her. We were all in Ghana when 2012 elections were challenged in court of law. Despite the final verdict, all the judges agreed on the fact that there must be changes put in place to prevent another court case or any unforetold eventualities. Therefore why would the EC drag her feet by now. I thought reforms were the major agenda on her mind for accepting the post of EC. May God help us all. What I would like to suggest to the EC is never to be disturbed by the noises of the political parties and go ahead to do proper reforms for peaceful elections. She should consult history to know that the last time they "cleaned" up the register the situation lead to court cases. She must compile a new voters' register. Period.

Being a pastor does not mean you know all.
Your best advice should be that the EC should listen to the dissenting views of all and do what will make Ghana a strong nation. Wars do not just happen. They happen from lack of understanding and injustices. We owe it a duty to maintain peace in the country and a major factor is to allow people to speak so that measures will be taken. I do not care whether you are NDC or NPP. Stop chastising political parties for expressing their views.
We need Ghana to be one nation at the end of the day. Advice EC and not the political parties.

This is someone who had been the Prime Minister of the country during their First Republic under the founder of the nation, President Houphuet Boigny. Yet the New owners of Ivory Coast compiled a new voters register and excluded a huge section of the population, people whose only problem was that they spoke the same language with those of some neighbouring states and practiced Islam religion. Is there any semblance in Ghana? Is one party calling for the expulsion of some people from the register because they are not Ghanaians? Well, we have an answer. This is the party that violently expelled thousands of Nigerians, Nigerians, Malians, Togolese, Burkinabes from the country in 1969. People who had been living and contributing very meaningfully to the economy of Ghana. The descendants of that party are today saying they don't need an ECOWAS register in Ghana, while at the same time rushing to congratulate Buhari for winning elections, the very president that retaliated their heinous act by also expelling millions of Ghanaians from Nigeria in Operation "Ghana msut go" in 1985 when he was the Military leader. how times have changed.
