AUTHOR: MAHMOUD--- Mr. Mahama is exactly one of the visionless African leaders that have always been accused of misplacing their priorities. Does the NDC government think, despite the massive corruption, they can borrow recklessly and spend their way foolishly into another mandate in 2016, when the nation is over burdened with HIPC and workers wallowing in hunger and over taxed? Governance under the NDC government is all about deceit and 'opium of the people'. They enjoy everything under the sun but ask us to wait for our basic needs in heaven. And as they ask us to tighten our belts for future betterment, they have already loosened theirs for immediate consumption. They didn't even respect our intelligence when they asked us to wait for a paradise in three years. The truth is that, everything they promise is a mirage and we will never find comfort under them because; they are con-men with con plans.

Ghanaians drive like monkeys. Every single one of them. ANy time I am on a main road, not a single vehicle stops when attempting to enter the main road. Every morning on my way to work, at least 5 vehicles, usually taxis and high official personnel, come speeding in the opposite lane under the pretext of an emergency. This animal behavior must stop. We are a lawless, uncivilized bunch of buffoons. Worst of all, full grown men and women take up fortified positions in the middle of roadways and highways, intimidating you with their useless wares. I hate the people who patronize these street hawkers more than those escape zoo animals!!! We don't deserve to be part of the human race, white people just enjoy watching as behave exactly the way the have always expected.

Thank you very much CITIZEN ONE.I agree with every word you said about Ghanaian drivers. They are lawless, uncivilized bunch of buffoons. I was in Ghana for 9 months(Dec 2014-Sep2015) and I was really shocked how our drivers drove. I always asked myself whether Ghanaian drivers knew anything about the "three car length" rule. Why do they always tail gate without keeping their distance? They would not stop at zebra crossings no matter the number of pedestrians waiting to cross the road. Street lights mean nothing to them as they always jumped red lights. I was wondering whether they are con versant with the highway code and passed their driving lessons before obtaining driving licences. They are lawless because of corrupt policemen who take monies from them when they commit traffic offences and their equally corrupt DVLA officials who issue them with driving licences when they have had no driving lessons let alone passing a test. What is wrong with us Ghanaians?

The type of accidents most drivers get into makes me wonder how they got their license in the first place. Most Ghanaian drivers are not that well experienced in handling their vehicles, it seems. Secondly, it appears that most vehicles in the country are not properly maintained, as such they are often involved in preventable accidents. The government should establish a scheme where vehicles must pass a early inspection in order to be driven on the roads. The government will need the assistance and cooperation of the transportation unions to make such a scheme succeed. For some unexplained reason, drivers like to drive at excessive speed, which often results in accident. The driver who caused this accident found it convenient to blame the accident on brake failure. If he weren't speeding, he would have had enough room to apply his brakes before running into a parked vehicle.

Just don't forget that, Jon Maaaama has been involved in plane crush for the forth time all because Atta Mills is hunting Jon Maaaaama. When Jon Maaaaaama went to Volta region, the journalists who went with him had a fatal accident when J. Nuamah died. Again when Jon Maaaama went to Otuam, there was another fatal accident where the journalists had yet another accident. And finally here we come, the ghost of Atta Mills in the presidential staffer's bus, also ending in a near fatal accident.
