Mr. Mahama and his NDC tricksters are not interested in priorities that would ease the suffering of Ghanaians. They are only interested in prestigious signature projects for the enjoyment of few ruling elites , regardless of whether the inflated projects are priorities and value for money or not. Does the NDC government think, despite the massive corruption, they can borrow recklessly and spend their way foolishly into another mandate in 2016, when the nation is over burdened with HIPC and workers wallowing in hunger and over taxed?

Governance under the NDC government is all about deceit and 'opium of the people. They enjoy everything on this earth but ask us to wait for our basic needs in heaven. And as they ask us to tighten our belts for future betterment, they've already loosened theirs for immediate consumption. They didn't even respect our intelligence when they said there would be paradise in Ghana when we give them another mandate after the 2016 elections. The truth is that, everything they promise is a mirage and we will never find comfort under them because; they are con-men with con plans.

If we give the electric business to an American company to run the first thing they will do is sack 60% of the employees and increase salaries for the remaining 40% and ensure that the work is done. Within a few months we will have constant supply of power and they will be paying bonuses to employees. We have proved over and over that we cannot solve this problem but we refuse to seek help. Dumsor has been around for generation but the difference here is that we now have the courage to complain. The main problem is abuse and mismanagement, redundant work, no show jobs for acquaintances. The same problem is faces by all government-owned businesses.

They are successful with this nonsense because some people just knock their brains out, and praise anything they do, even when they claim to have used several $millions to supply school girls with sanitary pads. But ninety percent of the school girls you would ask have never used such a pad before. That means the possible recepients of those pads must have been bleeding for eleven years each. But where are those long-time school girls?

How do do it? A fast track new legislation supporting solar on every roof, in every neighborhood. The government has to spend money on quickly laying the groundwork, abolish all import tariffs, taxes and fees and even consider small subsidies on PV panels.

Such a program would benefit Ghana in 2 ways: More reliable power generation and many new jobs for the economy. Get out of your chair, Mr Mahama, do something except useless speeches if you want to be reelected.
