  Ghana is in this poor state because of poor judgement. Mahama bribed Atuguba with $6,000,000.00, and the judgement was turned in Mahamas favour. Bishop, how can bribery and corruption seize when the #1 gentleman (president) and a supreme court judge are involved in it? Ghana is suffering now because of wrong judgement. However, God is watching and very soon their cups shall ran over.

  The judges are Ghanaians. It is in our DNA to be very corrupt. Anybody who was shocked by the recent news that judges have been collecting bribe in cash and in kind is either naïve or dishonest. All judges in Ghana are bribable. Even the chief justice, Theodora Wood has been collecting bribes. There is no exception to judges collecting bribes. Some do act blatantly, others are discrete. Regardless of how one views the situation, Ghanaian judges are rotten to the core. And the situation is not going to improve because we don't have a culture of checks and balances. We have what is known as the "big man model". The powerful can commit any crime with impunity. Even raising the possibility that a government official may be corrupt will land you in big trouble. Ghana is a doomed. There is no doubt that corruption was rife during the reign of the NRC. But what did AFRC/PNDC/NDC do? What they will like you to believe is that the PNDC/NDC completely extinguished corruption from Ghana only for the NPP to resurrect the practice. But the fact is that the PNDC/NDC only paid mere lip service to fighting corruption with inane slogans like "probity, accountability and integrity". As a country we are doomed because corruption is way of life for almost every Ghanaian.

  This is the hypocrisy which has engulfed the nation.Kotoka took a bribe of 10 million dollars to overthrow Osayefo and has been honoured by the nation.A civil servant who retires without building a house is deemed to have failed in life.Even cocoa purchasing clerks and market traders are using false scales to cheat. In Ghana corruption pays.It is part of our culture.
