  Go back to teaching CIVICS in schools. Back in the 1950's and 1960's, civics was taught in every school. Some of the chapters were devoted to governance and the roles of the various arms of government. Every student learne ...

  Go back to teaching CIVICS in schools. Back in the 1950's and 1960's, civics was taught in every school. Some of the chapters were devoted to governance and the roles of the various arms of government. Every student learned the names of key personnel in government: ministers of state, regional commissioners, local, urban or city councils members etc.

  Geeze is this President for real?True "Teacher" I don't think many students would know who's who's in this current Parliament,umm let alone who is on the local city council.

  When has an African parliament voted against the majority party in Africa on an unpopular decision. Like what you see in USA, UK, Australia sometimes. Until parliament continues rubber stamping all government decisions whether good or bad people will lose interest in the institution. It does not also put the executives and ministers to account ,and you want people to trust it. Democracy not for the masses but for the executive is a mirage

  Ghana parliament is loaded with barbers, butchers, tailors, hairdressers and bed warmers. This is a cohorts that does not even understand their own role, does not understand the documents they discuss and , as a mater of fact, does not do anything other than shout yeah, yeah during the week and go to social functions during the weekend.

  It is not compulsory to say something there if you don't have a message, power management is what you need to talk about and leave civic education to the commission for civic education, why do you pay them and work for them useless commissions?
  The parliamentarians can educate their people too not just be interested in the juicy rewards of the house.
  Stop the unnecessary talks and deal with the energy issues of the country, because with that the economy of the country will continue to sink as u have already propelled it with your incompetence from all angles of managing state issues. Do the do, talk when you have something to offer
