Going for an IMF bailout isn't any good achievement, and for the institution to talk about 5.3 fiscal deficit isn't any hefty news. There's still high unemployment, shortage of money in the system, as gov't can't even pay doctors, nurses and teachers on time. There's also corruption in gov't high places.

These semi-literate NDC apparatchiks think they've gotten some good news to cheer about. Funny! Ghana's GDP to debt ration is one of the highest in Africa, yet people like APONKYE (probably live goat) is here bleating after feeding on some grass. Ironically, people like a goat would attempt to denigrate Dr. Bawumia, whose adjudged one of the finest economic personalities in Africa or probably the world. When Zimbabwe needed economic tune-up, it was none than Dr. Bawumia who was elected to go and help to fix the country's economny.

Let Ghanaians be the judges; the kind of economic climate prevailing and the resultant effects in the pockets of the ordinary people determines how healthy the economy is, but not just some figures on paper. The same NDC rubbished Kuffour's achievements when he improved Ghana's economy in 8yrs.

I don't think the IMF will be any kind of hypocrites who'd attempt to rush to praise Ghana, while the same had earlier expressed some caution about our economic situation esp when the country first approached them for economic assistance or bailout. The truth is that there's still shortfall in the economy; gov't can't pay nurses, doctors, teachers and general workers on time. Money is in short supply as there's also economic hardship in the country. The fact still remains that things continue to fall apart in Ghana; that's no lies!

Our debt stock is very, very high, while the Cedi still remains vulnerable on the international market, as there's also unemployment. So what's the fuss all about, with 5.3% fiscal deficit, as being posted here?
