  Wrong example cited. Everybody knows the perpetrators of protocol lists. Sometimes the list is bigger than the vacancies that exist. If you don't admit them you are transfered. Catholic Church is not into protocol listing.

  In the advent to the 2012 election, the names of BECE candidates were sent to the heads of various second cycle schools without the scores and the GES forced the heads to admit them. This was done to make Mahama look good in the eyes of parents. I knew a parent whose ward scored aggregate 51 but got admission to one of the competitive missionary schools but within a year the no-nonsense school withdrew the student for non-performance. Today, that child is wasting the parents money on school fees to private secondary schools in Kumasi and Accra all to no avail. If the CSSPS system had been fair, maybe that child would have been counseled to seek a different alternative at the initial stage.

  The so so called protocol list is bogus and gives undue advantage over equally qualified Ghanaians. Some of the protocol connection may not even have attained the prerequisite cut off Mark but the gain admission. My daughter qualified to enter a Training college but when the list came she was not selected, because too many protocol admissions were made. I was made to pay $20000 to the authorities of the college to squeeze her name on the admission list. Is this fair? I,am very angry with the way things are done in Ghana. If this rubbish corruption is not addressed I foresee a bitter revolution of the kind of the Arab Spring to sweep off all the corrupt officials in the system. Ghana must wake up.

UNLIKE THE PUBLIC SCHOOL ALSO THE OLD STUDENTS, TRADITIONAL LEADERS, PAST/RETIRED TEACHERS, P.T.A., NOTABLE IN THE SOCIETY IN WHICH THE SCHHOLIS SITUATED,EVEN THE EDUCATIONAL DIRECTORS BOTH RETIRED AND THOSE AT POST,POLITICAL LEADERS,PARTY CHAIRMEN AND FUNCTIONARIES, THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS, MEMBERS OF STAFF AND COLLEAGUE HEADS OF ANOTHER SCHOOLS ALL HAVE THE PROTOCOL LIST SUBMITTED TO THE HEADS AFTER THE CSSPS IS OVER. THESE BODIES ALSO HELPS MOST THE PUBLIC SCHOOL IN THEIR DAY TO DAY ADMINISTRATION AS THE GOVERNMENT AT TIMES FAILS IN THE RELEASE OF GRANTS ETC. THE WORST IS THE PRESSURE FROM FAMILIES OF BOTH THE HEADS AND THEIR IN-LAWS FROM BOTH SIDES PUT PRESSURE ON THE HEADS AND THIS IS THE WAY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM THROUGH THE 30% CATCHMENT AREA ADMISSIONS BROUGHT BY THE GOVERNMENT.THANK YOU. HEADMASTER OF ACCRA ACADEMY FOR YOUR COURAGE.
