If his signature appeared, did he provide any explanation to that?. It is likely Mr. Amegashie knew exactly what he was doing. Any criminal should be jailed and made to pay for the loss, including interest.

I keep wrote here many times that that DVLA is a corrupt institution which remains so forever,everything they do there is dubious,all the offices are corrupt,if you don't pay them they frustrate you but if you pay them you don't even have to go to that office to acquire license,just ask if all officials in Ghana including all the the politicians in all the political parties ever asked even one question before they acquire license as they will ask you and I to do and the poor Trotro driver who fails to pay them to do,can any of these people including the MPs be bold to tell us if any of them acquired their license genuinely,hell no! Not even one will be able to truthfully tell he acquired his license without either paying or using his position to acquire it.

It is deliberate - the escalated contract sum was well planned deed by the fmr boss of DVLA. The deal was leaked otherwise the booty will be shared. Amagashie is a THIEF. He shd face the law

It is, has been and will always be standard practice for signatories to a contract to obtain and retain a copy of said contract; it is even so with contracts between nations. I'm sure people are tired of me saying a fool's one who does not learn from past mistakes or mistakes of others but why are we foolish by design in Ghana? We live in a country where the art of fabrication, altering or falsifying documents and or identity theft is a way of life so why then will people in high places leave anything to chance? Would the DVLA boss sign a contract to buy land, property or personal financial transaction without obtaining a copy for his records? If this is not a con job then call me naana the fool.

The question I'm yet to get from all these investigations is,if the man was paid and who receive it if that Foto X owner is saying he did not receive such an amount then where is the money and if the money is not paid then it should not be paid and the right thing is done to get to the bottom of this matter,if the company that agrees the amount was not what they signed does it mean he got difference amount on the contract while the DVLA has different amount on their contract which they shared the difference?
We need more answers.

When NDC came back, they restored Amegatchie and truly the sin in him could not be hidden. He signed the fraudulent contract.. to confirm his criminal mind. I'm devastated but he should be made to face the rigours of the law. These are some of the evil person's who disgrace Voltarians.

Ghana was on the verge of throwing away a whopping over $6.6 million for no work done. EOCO and the Parliamentary Committee on Transport saved the situation once again and saved Ghana millions of US dollars.

Gov't through the office of the AG must crack the whip on the former DVLA CEO, Justice Amegashie to serve as a deterrent to other heads of our institutions, who, over the years, have caused the country to loss huge sums of money on the account of their ineptitude, sloppiness and lack of discretion.

The NDC can not absorb itself from the DVLA corruption,there re allegations that several state agencies drew money through similar fashion to support the NDC,s campaign in after the death of Atta Mills.This can never be a typographical error,the figures re too far apart that such thoughts can not even come to anybody's head,look one can not imagine the kind of rot that goes on at the DVLA.DV number plates alone and the duplication of it through the back door is something the BNI can not sleep over,this is the reason why you see a lot of DV plates all over the place,I think the BNI must get involved in how DV plates re printed and distributed next year,I believe they ve started preparations for it to be printed otherwise the police ve no business arresting users for any misuse of it.

Big thief!! when he signs checks to pay for his personal goods, does he not think twice before writing down the figures and cross check with the words. What a justified theft. As for this erring on his part it is not justified at all. Put him in jail straight away.
