  And it's a cartel from what I understand. Businesses who want to streamline the process, digitalise it are being sidelined for insider cronies so they can profit! Disgraceful!

  Hana Tete are you not Abusing the constitution of Ghana? by reducing the duration of passport from 10yrs to 5yrs yourself?

  Scrap visa requirement for countries like UK, USA,GERMANY, JAPAN etc and Ghana will gain more money from tourism.Visa fees only end up in pockets of workers at the foreign missions.

  Let the ministries involved, Interior and Foreign,
  settle it.

  Can't we as a country come up with a better Visa design to replace the present poor Ghanaian Visa to meet international standard?
  Even Togo, Nigeria, Ivory Coast all have respectable Visa design better than that of Ghana.

  GIS have been pushed away from a roll which is clearly meant for them. Institutions such as Ghana Police service,Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Research Department a wing of the security service have been battling for this roll over a long period of time.The last on the list have managed to hijack the roll for themselves sighting security as a good reason for them to handle the roll. No wonder they do a bad job. Ask any Ghanaian in the Diaspora or a foreigner dealing with the consular section of any of our Missions and you will be told the same story. Bad service.It is time the job is given to GIS.

  I agree with you, Mo Tanko.Most guys from the research department,the least said about them.The display of arrogance and pomposity is appalling.These guys feel they are even more than the Ambassadors in the Ghana missions.They do what they like and some will hardly account for the visa fees.What amase me is they are not call to order in many cases. They mostly clash with coleagues from the main ministry on hierachy issues.They are mostly not submissive to their senior colleagues from the main.They have little to do apart from the issuance of visas.They pretend to be working on secuirity issues. What a waste of resources i may say. I think it's about time we put things right.The big question is how come the GIS is being pushed back? I don't want to believe perhaps,their incompetence miht have also contributed to this....
