After the undemocratic nomination and fictitious endorsement, he then slept in bed with the EC and Atugbah to steal the verdict of Ghanaians.

Mahama is not only leading the most corrupt government in the history of Ghana, he himself is very corrupt and rotten to the core. Ghanaians will surly get rid of him in the 2016 elections even if he is still in bed with the EC. The corrupt judges have been exposed and Ghanaians too are fed up with his corrupt and under-performing government. As Mr. Amidu pointed out, he is soiling the good name of northerners.

Unless you are anti-Akan who thinks you are competing with Asantes or other Akan tribes, you won't ever believe that once you become an NPP member, some demon enters you to hate northerners.

I bet if Limann was overthrown by an Asante, you people would be writing the history that it was because of hatred for Northerners. You guys cannot educate me on who loves or hate northerners. The evidence on the ground does not support your tribal propaganda. We have lived with northerner for more than a century on Asante and other Akan soil and we have never threatened their life or livelihood.

Your tribal politics may prop up Mahama's electoral fortunes in the north but in the end alienate northerners who reside in the south. It will also serve to make them lose confidence in themselves. It is better to reflect on your actions sometimes, don't you think?

Bin Addo Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, the two-time flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been challenged to come clean on some alleged shaddy deals where the then NPP government (in 2008 ) blew a whopping US$1.3 million to raise funds for his presidential campaign.

A critic of Akufo Addo, one Nana Akyea Mensah in a serialized article in the possession of the Republic newspaper, claims in 2008 Akufo Addo’s campaign engaged the Whitaker Group, a well known American lobbyist firm to “illegally” raise campaign funds for Akufo Addo outside Ghana-essentially from US firms and multinational companies.

The secret fund-raising, according to Nana Akyea Mensah, was held at the Hotel Hyatt & Resorts, located on 24M Streets, Nw, Washington, DC 20037, on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 where US$1.3 million of Ghanaian tax-payers money was doled out to the Whitaker Group to raise external funds for Akufo Addo’s campaign in 2008.

Nana Akyea Mensah who calls himself the “Odikro” threw a challenge to Akufo Addo’s current campaign team to substantiate his allegations, saying: “ I am putting it to Mr. Akufo-Addo that this is not only a closely guarded secret because it was a criminal fund-raising activity that broke both US and Ghanaian laws, but that he also used the Ghanaian tax payers’ money and state resources to finance the entire fund-raising event!”

“…we are not talking about small money here. The whole event was organized by The Whitaker Group, lobbyists and investment promoters, which later confirmed that indeed the Government of Ghana paid it sums amounting to $1.3 million. The Whitaker Group further explained that “the money was not for lobbying on behalf of the Government only, but includes other works aimed at facilitating trade and investment to create jobs,” the Odikro continued.

It is believed that the maverick member of the NPP, Dr. Kobina Arthur Kennedy was present at the secret fund-raising event.

He was then the Director of Communications of the Akufo-Addo campaign. Dr. Arthur Kennedy is said to have “laconically” admitted that the secret luncheon did indeed take place with a group composed of mainly US multinational corporations

According to Dr. Kennedy the group “was made up of people with substantial investments in Ghana and also of others who have an interest in investing in Ghana. The meeting was therefore to afford Nana Akufo-Addo the opportunity to explain his vision of transforming the Ghanaian economy and creating a modern society. That was just what happened at the meeting”.

Not long after the 2008 Presidential elections that saw Akufo Addo defeated by the then opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, John Evans Atta-Mills, Dr Kennedy fell out with Akufo Addo and has become an avowed critic of the twice-defeated flagbearer of the NPP.

He quickly wrote a book “Chasing the Elephant into the Bush” where he elucidated several damning activities within the NPP that caused the party’s defeat in 2008. He indicated in his book that some of these activities also bordered on corruption and self-interest within the party.

Nana Akyea Mensah’s challenge is coming in the heels of the constant touting of the anti-corruption credentials of the twice-defeated presidential candidate of the main opposition party.

His aides have constantly reminded critics that when he was the Attorney General and the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the erstwhile NPP administration, Akufo Addo was never engaged in any act of corruption as has been alleged of other Ministers of State in that administration.

His spokesperson, Mustapha Hamid has proudly stated on several platforms that “As Attorney-General and later minister for Foreign Affairs, Nana Akufo-Addo, never drew one litre of fuel from government coffers, he paid for his own security, never lived in a government bungalow, paid extra from his own pocket in order to sleep in hotels when he went abroad, etcetera; those are public records at the ministries where Nana Addo served as minister.”

“ Really? This is ridiculous! Living in a government bungalow officially designated for ministers does not make a minister corrupt! Sleeping in a hotel on official duties at government expense does not make one corrupt! It seems to me that Mr. Mustapha Hamid does not even know what constitutes corruption! This is a rare piece of nonsense. Is a minister to be considered corrupt simply because he lives in a state bungalow?” The Odikro countered in the part one of his series to allegedly expose acts of corruption perpetrated by Akufo Addo.

He charged, “The dangers associated with big multinational corporations in the USA financing political parties in a poor third-world country like Ghana cannot be under-estimated. This is the most serious form of political corruption available on the planet! The selection of so-called “business-friendly” candidates by these corporations to “help” them win power are translated often in lower labour standards, a blind eye on vital environmental protection measures, and generally sacrificing the common good for special interests, such as the imposition of GM foods on the population without the consent of the people!”

“…if Mustapha Hamid wants to tell us his boss is not corrupt, he must begin by giving us further and better particulars on this event, and stop throwing dust into our eyes on government bungalows!”

Nana Akyea Mensah who appears to be a rogue member of the NPP stated in his article that he will not be perturbed by attempts to silence him over his expose of the character of Akufo Addo, “ First of all, I wish to thank in advance, all those party sycophants who are quite predictably going to jump at me and insult and annoy me because they will only help to give me fuel to produce the second part of this article with maximum alacrity. The knee-jerk response to the slightest criticism of Nana Akufo-Addo with insults and unwarranted attacks and intimidation is exactly what I am complaining about. And it must be clear to all that Nana Akyea Mensah will not be intimidated!”

My question is how can Blay who disgraced himself on the TV in a press conference as he could not read English well neither could he express himself in English and can now master courage to talk about Mahama of not fit to be president if he had happened to be in the NPP. Anyway I can understand Blay because he is aware that in the NPP no other tribe can WHOLEHEARTEDLY be allowed to lead apart from Ashantis.

Please foolish Freddie Blay, could you inform the public of what qualities that you have that make you see yourself better than Mahama if it comes to ruling a nation. Naturally ruling a nation is a team work which involves no one person called a president since we are in a demoncracy. Every one in govt brings onboard expertise and eventually yields bad or good results depending on the world economic possibilities at ones/govt's disposal.

How can Blay know he is a disgrace with his English reading on the TV when he is in company of people who fear to express themselves in English and instead are calling for TWI to be spoken in the class rooms. Real village people occupying every position in the NPP with exception of Akuffo Addo and handful of others who speak good English.

In which area of comparision is that Blay looking at and that he could master the courage to talk of Mahama not fit to be president if he had been in the NPP. What is very special about the NPP that can convince a rational fellow to agree with the stupid comments of Freddie Blay? Ghana needs rulers who are morally sound in their deal with people they rule.

Mahama is more moral than the bunch of the NPP who support killing people within their party with acid and knives just because they have different views on certain matters. In reality Mahama had not stolen anything per say, so where is your arguments about of not fitting into your village low mentality criterial that you have in your NPP.

Some of us campaigned for the president because we belief he was going to deliver effectively and efficiently as President.The NPP have every reason to attack him because he undoubtedly have a questionable integrity per his attitude towards the gargantuan corruption and naked thievery he is superintending over.It is a fact that we are dealing with an extremely corrupt and incompetent government,the worse of its kind in the history of Ghana.Blay's assertion Mahama can never be president on the ticket of the NPP is an indirect condemnation of the quality and caliber of people at the helm of affairs in the NDC.you cannot have a responsible and competent government without a responsible and competent technocrats in politics.One sharp contrast between the NPP and NDC illustrated by Blay is the fact that no 'Tom,Dick and Harry' can just get up and occupy position in the NPP without scrutiny of his intellect and competence.A vivid illustration is an array of illiterate rascals occupying key positions in the NDC ranging from constituency,regional and national positions.That aside most of the MPs in parliament on the Majority NDC side are mere spectators who are intellectually bankrupt,woefully incompetent, bereft of ideas including basic parliamentary proceedings.A good number have obvious problems with language proficiency and comprehension but are mouthpiece and law makers on behalf of constituents as elected representatives.The NDC have now become a party of illiterate rogues and rascals unlikely to understand any political objective or ideology aside using the party as a vehicle to corruptly and illegally enrich and empower themselves to rule with iron fist.The leadership of the party have consciously emboldened and empowered illiterates and ignorant minds who they can manipulate and exploit for equally dubious,corrupt and scandalous adventures.Enlighten intellectuals who belief in true democracy and the rule of law will have a serious problems in a party like the NDC structured around criminals and corrupt elements run in a typical mafia fashion.Many have predicted all the huge cases of corruption in public institutions exposing millions of Ghana cedis illegally diverted will go nowhere because top government functionaries including the president and his business associates are deeply involved.Alas,they are absolutely right because no money have been retrieved with most of these illegalities exposed in public institutions and government agencies deliberately ignored to die a natural death in the quiet.A lot more cases of massive corruption in public institutions are being suppressed even at the level of the judiciary.The have been numerous cases of reported corruption in public institutions in Ghana's High Court being suppressed by government agencies like the AG and the police in connivance with court staff including judges and lawyers simply because they involve high profile public servants and politicians with links to government.Truth said,despite the NDC priding itself as a social democratic party,the Mahama government is deep in crony capitalism with all the attendant corruption favouring friends,business partners and family members to the detriment of the poor masses.The country is already suffering from institutional paralysis under the weight of mass organized corruption under the supervision of corrupt, incompetent and irresponsible hands in most public institutions who are not in such key positions by merit.When they mess up,all that government do is to collude to prevent judgement debt and protect these corrupt elements as friends,family and business associates instead of exposing and punishing the culprits.President John Mahama who is ironically being accused of tribal politics is reaping the reward of his reluctance and ineptitude in fighting corruption why because NPP functionaries still occupy most key positions in most public institutions.His style of governance of encouraging the twin evil of crony capitalism and corruption only favours these NPP folks in public institutions who take advantage of the loopholes in the system to illegally enrich themselves.You cannot blame the NPP for persistently labeling the Mahama Government as corrupt and incompetent because they know exactly what they are talking about with the indicators clear to all and sundry who are at least informed.This was exactly the admonishing of the citizen vigilante,Martin Amidu to the president.The NPP are still adamant and rightly insistent in their disposition that a corrupt and incompetent Mahama Government is resorting to cheap tribal politics and 'divide and rule tactics'.Most top public officials,Ministers of state aside,ranging from Director General,GHS to Director General,GES are NPP functionaries who bribed corrupt elements in the NDC to be rewarded not on merit but through their links.Martin Amidu said it and the chickens are already coming back to roost.

John Mahama is so incompetent and inept to the point of crassness, there is no way in hell he would be President on the ticket of the NPP party, when very huge and big brains like Alhaji Dr. Mahammudu Bawumia are crunching the numbers intelligently, competently looking at the indices and metrics, forecasting and planning, thinking, thinking, thinking and projecting and brilliantly coming up with intelligent observations, trends and interventions to mitigate disasters of the kind, clueless, incompetent, thievery-loving the John Dramani Mahama NDC gov't has brought on Ghanaians including members of his own NDC party.
Why will anybody in his right frame of mind even think of making John Mahama President on the ticket of the NPP, when Alhaji Dr. Bawumia is present? It is completely illogical, mindless senselessness to make such an egregious and unpardonable mistake and gaffe of gargantuan proportions. It will never happen in the NPP party where competence and intelligence is held in very, very high esteem as a critical composite factor amongst a multiplicity of other factors for effective leadership and excellent governance.
I dare say though, even in the NDC party, had it not been for the killing of the late Atta Mills, there is no way John Dramani Mahama would have led the NDC party.
The NDC party knows John Mahama is absolutely and unapologetically incompetent, but for fear of victimization, they dare not say it, not after what Ekow Spio Garbrah went through.
John Dramani Mahama was the real deal Ekow Spio Garbrah was referring to, when he said the Mills-Mahama NDC gov't was TEAM Z.
