Ghana is paying six times its total oil revenue as interest on the country’s total public debt stock; that’s the computation done by former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

“We’ll reach GHC99billion by the end of this year,” the Running Mate to the Flagbearer of the biggest opposition Party said in a post-budget presentation interview with Richard Sky of Citi FM.

“The interest on this debt alone is going to be six times Ghana’s oil revenue,” Dr Bawumia said.

“When we found oil, we were happy that we found oil, but the borrowing of this Government has compromised the whole oil discovery; you need six times our oil revenue just to pay interest on the debt, not even capital, so, it is a really sad development,” he complained.

This is a false news, the ballots papers were rather far less than the registered votes.....
In the early hours of the day ,the EC and the party leadership noticed that the register of over 13000 voters was accompanied with over 8000 ballot papers. So a discussion was held with the candidates in the presence of the Security.
Upon consultation with the Regional Executives on phone, all parties agreed that they should run photocopies to take of the short falls.
However to the surprise of the EC and the entire community, a section of the youths went to the community center and destroyed the electoral materials that, they wouldn't allow the processes to go on.

Progressive Peoples' party, former Heads of States, NPP and many other institutions and organisations have joined the call for the new register. it is onlt the NDC that thinks polishing and cutting and pasting of the existing voters' register shall be good enough to carry on with the exixsting "bloated" register???
Now the NDC's own party members have detected the "bloating business" as well.
The question is when shall NDC Government of Ghana listen and take Ghanaians serious?.
